2 - Mutual benefits to communities, organizations and governments by facilitating networking, sharing of information, and a central place for coordinating and planning
3 - Consensus among participants that a key role would be facilitating communications among stakeholders, communities, government, and Canadians towards stewardship for Hudson Bay/James Bay
4 - A central place for sharing and archiving information which could include data management and online infrastructure.
5 - Coordinating monitoring, research and research protocols to address large scale cumulative impacts, to make sure research is done consistently, properly, and that the information is shared.
6 - Help coordinate regional meetings to minimize travel to multiple meetings, and facilitate interaction and communications among regional organizations - Hold larger Hudson Bay/James Bay wide conference on a periodic basis
7 - Could help develop policies as well as providing an advisory role and advocacy role
8 - Take an ecosystem approach and help integrate local and traditional knowledge with science to inform decision making at the federal level on down to other levels of government
9 - Coordinate the review and study of cumulative impacts among stakeholders, researchers, government and industry and plan priority areas for future research and monitoring
