Interested Minority Community students of Karnataka state Domicile can apply in the prescribed application downloading the same from the official website of Directorate of Minorities, Minority Students opting to pursue higher studies in the following subjects only can apply and get benefit of financial assistance through Directorate of Minorities, Bangalore. Subjects:- 1) Automation Robotics including Artificial Intelligence, Mechatronics and Manufacturing Technology. 2) Laser Technology 3) Paper technology 4) Naval Architecture/Offshore Structures/Architecture in General. 5) Information Technology including Computer Engineering Software, software Quality Assurance, Networking /Connectivity Engineering, Communication system, under hazardous or Post Disaster conditions, Multimedia communication 6) Low temperature Thermal Dynamics 7) Optometry 8) Art Restoration technology 9) Ceramic and Glass Technology 10) Dock and Harbour Engineering 11) Bio- Technology/ Genetic Engineering 12) Industrial Safety 13) Petroleum Technology 14) Aircraft/ Space Engineering 15) Imaging System Technology 16) Graphic engineering 17) Composite materials engineering including Decentralized Power, Distribution (for Solar Heat) System, Energy Storage Engineering, Energy conservation, Energy efficient habitat Engineering, 18) Satellite or remote Sensing 19) Packaging Engineering/ Technology 20) Nuclear Engineering 21) Medicine / Dental / Nursing/ Para- Medical 22) Business Administration/ Management Studies 23) MPhil/Ph.d in any area of applied Sciences., Basic Sciences, Cultural and Historical Studies. In addition to these subjects any other course the screening committee of the department may in special cases consider the course not listed above. Eligibility:- For Post Doctoral:- Candidates should have scored 60% and above marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master Degree/Ph.d. For Ph.d:- Candidates should have scored 60% and above marks or equivalent grade in relevant Master Degree. For Master Degree:- Candidates should have scored 60% and above marks or equivalent grade in relevant Bachelor Degree. The student must be a domicile of Karnataka.

3 Age Limit:- The student must be below 38 years from the date of commencement of the opted course or subjects selected for higher Studies. Financial Assistance & Income limit:- A total Scholarship of Rs lakh per annum and a maximum of Rs lakh (for 2 years) for the entire course will be sanctioned to the candidates whose total income from all sources of the candidate and his/her parents/ Guardians should not exceed Rs.6.00 lakhs per annum & for those students whose total family income from all sources is between Rs lakhs per annum to Rs Lakhs per annum they are eligible for 50% of the Scholarship subject to a maximum of Rs lakhs per annum (for 2 years). The amount also covers the cost of one side air fare and simple living expenses as has been prescribed for all levels of courses covered under the scheme. The students are supposed to furnish their Bank Account Number, IFSC Code and Name and Branch of the Bank and other details in the application. Mandatory Conditions:- The candidates shall obtain the required admission letter from the Foreign University prior to the application made to the Directorate of Minorities, Bangalore-01. The candidates are required to seek admission and join regular courses/full time courses in accredited Universities/ Institution only. Default under the scheme:- The selected candidates have to execute a bond on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.200/- as required under this scheme, in the prescribed format. In case a candidate pursuing studies abroad violates any of the terms and conditions of bond executed by him/her such candidates will be liable to pay the entire amount along with 12% interest per annum to the Government. Mode of selection:- The candidates after assessing their eligibility and suitability and as per conditions of the scheme shall apply to the Director, Directorate of Minorities, 20 th Floor, V.V.Towers, Bangalore (Employed candidates have to apply through proper channel) in the prescribed application form. The candidates will be selected in pursuance of the guidelines followed by an interview by the selection Committee of short listed candidates. One Child in The Family and One Time Award Not more than one child of the same parent/guardian will be eligible and to this effect a self certification will be required from the candidate. The awardee cannot be considered for the award for second or subsequent times as the individual can be awarded only once.

4 Change of University by the Candidate Change of University if any by the candidate after counselling by High power Committee will not be considered / entertained and only in genuine cases with the permission and approval by the Government. DECLARATION I S/o /D/o/W/o residing at the above given address have furnished the information and documents as per my academic qualification and certificates issued by the College/Universities authorities concerned, they are true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I declare that I have not utilized this benefit earlier from any Government Departments or from the Directorate of Minorities. If I am selected for the above scholarship to study overseas, I undertake that I will return to India on completion of my course. I submit that I shall study and complete the course without break. In case I discontinue the course, or continue to reside and work abroad after completion of the course, I undertake that I will return the entire amount spent on my scholarship back to the Directorate of Minorities with 12% annual simple interest. If selected, I will sign an affidavit on non judicial Stamp Paper of Rs.200- and furnish with two Sureties, also on a non judicial Stamp Paper Rs.200. In case any of the information furnished by me and the documents enclosed are found to be incorrect or false, we are liable to be taken action against us as per the existing rules of the Government and Department. Certified that I am the only member of the family availing this benefit and also certify that no other family member has availed benefit earlier. If information furnished is found to be false I will refund the entire Scholarship amount.
