Purchase of the equipment and ensuring the possibilities to increase qualifications of fire-fighters will contribute to the achievement of the project goals, among them: creation of training complex in Poland and Ukraine, creation of an equipment preparation base, creation of a regional base of extinguishing agents, modernization of control station in Poland, purchase of 7 fire trucks and equipment for them. Project will have tangible impact on target groups by improving their technician abilities and providing the infrastructure for trainings of new fire fighters, additionally the educational action will contribute to promoting appropriate attitudes in dangerous situations. The woodland and the wilderness of Bieszczady strongly impede rescue actions. Implementation of the project will result in providing high-security level in cross-border region of Bieszczady in Poland and Ukraine. Partners will coordinate security actions and cooperate with Polish and Ukrainian security services. The overall aim of the project SOSRESCUE is to create the centre to reduce mobilization time and increase effectiveness of cross-border rescue actions in Bieszczady region. In order to obtain this goal Beneficiaries will create coordination and training center by modernizing ex-school building and adapting Ukrainian Beneficiary's quarters. The staff of Beneficiaries will be equipped with rescue, evacuation and medical equipment. They will be educated during complex training courses and simulated rescue actions. It is planned also to organize public meetings for citizens to raise awareness about rescue actions, proper behavior in mountains, relevant reactions to man-made and natural dangers and communication with rescue services. The development of healthcare in the Polish-Belarusian borderland area will be achieved in result of improvement of infrastructure and medical equipment, expanding the range of medical services and implemented health programs in the field of prenatal and neonatal. Planned renovation of medical rooms in Mazovian Regional Hospital in Siedlce will allow to create in this building such units as: school of childbirth, clinic of gynecology, obstetrics and neonatal workshop of early post-partum and urogynecological rehabilitation, clinic of posture defects and clinic of hips defects. The development of Hospital in Minsk will foresee the purchase of 30 medical recorders, as well as 46 apparatuses of home CTG and a medical car for transportation of doctors/midwives to patients, creation of IT network for use in obstetrics (purchase of equipment and installation). Therefore, the response time to emergencies in mountain areas is longer, than in neighboring lowland areas. The overall aim of the project SECINCARP is to increase the security level in cross-border region by means of strengthening capacities of regional fire and emergency institutions to address common security challenges. In order to obtain this goal on the Ukrainian side of the border purchase of 8 fire-rescue vehicles of various technical levels together with fire-resistant clothing for firefighter's teams is planned. On the Polish side of the border specialized building - smoke chamber will be constructed and equipped. Moreover, joint strategy for disasters prevention and response in the Carpathian region will be developed and number of trainings for representatives of regional emergency and fire services organized. Better health service conditions as well as general health of citizens are the base of sustainable development. The overall aim of the project is the expansion of access to health care and improving the quality of health services for the population of Belarusian-Polish borderland. In order to obtain this goal, upgrading of oxygen supply and distribution systems in both hospitals participating in the project is foreseen. Furthermore, specialized medical equipment will be purchased for the hospital in Łosice. Another block of activities will be connected with development of palliative support. These activities will result in resupply of palliative care departments, creation and equipping of Club of Relatives in palliative department in Brest, organization of voluntary movement. Healthy lifestyle promotion campaign and experience exchange undertakings will also be held within the action. The overall objective of the project is to enhance the security of people with autism and their families in cross-border area of Brest Oblast (BY) and Bialski sub-region (PL). This will be achieved through increase the access to infrastructure of social and health care services. The Belarusian Partner will implement the first in the Republic of Belarus Specialist Centre for Assistance to Persons. On the Polish side it is planned to build a school that prepares employees, an Environmental Self- Help House and training studios with the possibility of transforming it into a house of permanent residence for adults with autism. Infrastructure activities will be complemented by a wide range of soft measures, such as conferences, training courses, study visits. The project will help to exchange know-how, integrate knowledge, scientific research, and methodological experience in the sphere of education of children and youth with ASD of both countries. Support to the development of health protection and social services Improvement of Cross-border Health Services in Oncological Urology in Bialystok and Grodno Regions ACRONYM OncoUrology Autonomous Public Health Maintenance Organisation Jedrzej Sniadecki Voivodship Polyclinical Hospital in Bialystok (PL) BENEFICIARY 1 Grodno Regional Clinical Hospital (BY) GRANT AWARDED ,22 EUR PBU1/0266/16 Białystok PL Hrodna BY Project will contribute to better access to the health care system in terms of diagnostics and treatment in cancer-urological diseases in Białystok and Grodno regions. Used or insufficient treatment base and insufficient knowledge about prophylaxis result in much higher than in EU mortality and lower quality of life. The project overall objective is to improve the quality of life of Białystok and Grodno regions inhabitants through facilitation of access to health care system in cancer-urological diseases. The result of project implementation will be enhanced access to health care in the provision of diagnostics and treatment in diagnostics and treatment in cancer-urological diseases. Conferences, study meetings and preventive actions organized within the project activities will contribute to dissemination and good practices and knowledge exchange between doctors. Purchase of specialized medical equipment will contribute to enhance access to health care. Examinations and operations will gain new quality and safety standard. Support to the development of health protection and social services Model Health Care Program to Fight Osteoporosis in Area of Polish-Belarusian Borderland ACRONYM MHCPFO PBU1/0326/16 Dr. Ludwik Rydygier Voivodeship Hospital in Suwalki (PL) Suwałki PL HrodnaBY BENEFICIARY 1 Grodno City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Care (BY) GRANT AWARDED ,44 EUR Improvement of quality of healthcare in the area of orthopedics/rheumatology with a particular focus on osteoporosis is common PL-BY cross-border project challenge. The overall project objective is development of health protection in PL-BY borderland through implementation of joint initiative of Grodno and Suwalki Hospitals, enhancing access to high quality health care services for diagnostics and treatment of osteoporosis, which will be achieved through the following changes to current situation: improvement of medical infrastructure, increasing expertise level of medical staff on base of exchange of experiences, good practices, deepen knowledge, increasing awareness of inhabitants. Both hospitals will improve their infrastructure by modernisation of rheumatology ward with geriatric section); purchase for trauma&orthopaedics ward and for rheumatology ward necessary medical equipment and devices for Suwałki hospital and purchase of necessary equipment and devices for hospital wards conducting services in field of diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis for Hrodna hospital. Both partner hospitals will have twin cross-border centers for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. Addressing common security challenges The New Approach to the Cross-border Emergency Management System Dobrzyniewo Duże Sapockin Hrodna BY ACRONYM CrossEMS Dobrzyniewo Duze Commune (PL) BENEFICIARY 1 Grodno regional department of the Ministry for emergency situations of the Republic of Belarus (BY) BENEFICIARY 2 Grodno District Executive Committee (BY) GRANT AWARDED ,77 EUR PBU1/0497/16 PL Hazards and emergency situations in border regions require from emergency services on the both sides of the border to deal with specific risks and vulnerabilities. The overall aim of the project is strengthening emergency management and civil protection across Belarusian and Polish cross-border area. In order to obtain this goal number of infrastructure, investment and soft undertakings will be conducted. Construction works will be conducted on the fire station of Dobrzyniewo Duże in Poland and on the newlycreated fire station in the town of Sapockin in Belarus. The firefighting units from both sides of the border will be provided with specialised equipment, such as heavy firefighting vehicles with additional equipment, rescue boat, trailer for boat delivery, etc. In order to improve the firefighting staff skills joint trainings for emergency services of cross-border area will be conducted. Elaboration of cross-border emergency management plan and creation of cross-border emergency management network, planned within the action, are aimed at further strengthening of cooperation between the fire-fighting units of both countries. Support to the development of health protection and social services Improvement of Epidemiological Safety at the Polish-Belarusian Border Zone Biała Podlaska Brest BY ACRONYM Improveepidem Regional Specialist Hospital in Biala Podlaska (PL) BENEFICIARY 1 Brest Regional Hospital (BY) GRANT AWARDED ,91 EUR PBU1/0041/16 PL The common challenge of the Programme area is increased incidence of infectious diseases, i.e. HCV and HIV/AIDS. Due to the possibility of uncontrolled increase in incidence along the cross-border transport corridor (large streams of travellers), hospitals in the area must become epidemiological filters. The overall objective of the project is increase of epidemiological safety of residents living at the border area, improved accessibility of health services and raised awareness on infectious diseases and their risks (hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS). The project is aimed at development of cooperation of the hospitals located at the border area in the range of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. In order to obtain this goal border medical examinations of school children's will be conducted in Poland, i.e. eye and posture tests, as well as adults will be examined with regard to cardiovascular diseases.
