1 The Future of Nursing Research in Jordan Muayyad M. Ahmad Professor Clinical nursing department The university of jordan 9th SIOP Asia 2015 conference April 25-27, 2015 Le Royal Hotel Amman, Jordan 1
2 Abstract Nurses are increasingly engaging in research projects to improve aspects of nursing practice, education and management and contribute to the development of the profession. Nursing research that can inform practice raises the question of design. Implementing findings from cross-sectional studies or descriptive studies actually requires us first to translate the findings into an intervention or implementation and systematically study the outcome of the intervention or implementation.the expectation of nursing research from health and social care providers is that we should give them knowledge that is useful and can be translated into practice 2
3 Contents to be covered What are our priorities in nursing research in Jordan? Nursing research and cancer in Jordan What are the challenges which face nursing research in Jordan? How to put science into practice? What are the Solutions? Recommendations 3
