CPB Time Period: 10/1/2008-9/30/2010 CORP FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING Amount: $162, Communtiy Service Grants (CSG) are to be used to augment the capability of public broadcasting stations supported by CPB to expand the quality and scope of the services to the community. Missouri Technology Incentive Program (MoTIP) Project Manager: Richard Stephen Wyatt Time Period: 3/18/2008-6/30/2009 Amount: MO Tech Corp $100, University of Missouri Extension Business Program will provide technical and application assistance to businesses and individuals interested in applying for the Small Business Innovative Research and Small Business Technology Transfer awards. Missouri Healthy and Active Schools Project Manager: Stephen Daniel Ball Time Period: 8/1/2009-7/31/2010 JR Albert Charitable Foundation Amount: $90, The goal of this project is to improve the health and reduce the obesity rate of Missouri's elementary-age children. The project will educate children on what healthy choices are, and then alter their school environment to make those choices easier to make.
2 Value Added Soy Protein Opportunities in Singapore Project Manager: Joseph L Parcell Time Period: 1/1/ /31/2009 1SOY Amount: $30, soy is a Missouri producer-owned agricultural soy protein processing and marketing business with a presence in Asia. Singapore has been identified as a market ripe for expansion efforts. University of Missouri will assist 1Soy in determining the market pace of soy protein in Singapore, assess import regulations and assess logistical costs for product shipments into Singapore. Green Regional Education Extension Network (GREEN) Coali Project Manager: Barbara Ann Buffaloe Time Period: 7/1/2009-6/30/2010 Amount: Env Protection Agency $21, Cooperative Extension systems of Missouri and Iowa will create a "GREEN" coalition that will develop an environmental education program for thousands of citizens, with a focus on underserved populations. Kettering Foundation Agreement - Leadership Development Project Manager: William L Elder Time Period: 11/15/2008-8/31/2009 Kettering Fndtn Amount: $18, In many communities, low-income citizens fail to recognize their capacity for civic life and refrain from leadership roles, thereby feeling sidelined from collective works on the problems that concern them. MU will work with the Kettering Foundation to find ways low-income people can increase their ownership stake in their communities. Science Education Center for the Third Age Project Manager: Lucille Dorothy Salerno-Denninghoff Time Period: 6/1/2009-5/31/2011 UNIV OF SOUTHERN ME Amount: $4, MU's Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes (MU) will assist the University of Southern Maine with writing proposals geared toward the creation of a national science education center for older adults.
3 SEMA-ARC Sheltering Course Project Manager: David Hedrick Time Period: 11/18/2008-9/30/2009 St Emergency Mgmt Agency Amount: $2, The Fire and Rescue Training Institute will modify an existing American Red Cross training curricula course (entitled Shelter Operations and Simulation), creating a six-hour course that will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for approval.

This approach will more closely match nitrogen fertilizer rate to crop need, and will reduce nitrogen application (and lost to water) in areas where the crop does not need it. Missouri Beef Industry Audit - Update Project Manager: Vern L Pierce Time Period: 10/1/2008-6/30/2009 Amount: $13, MO Beef Industry Council MU's Agriculture Extension program will work with the Missouri Beef Industry Council to update, investigate and report on the competitive position of the Missouri beef industry in North America and the world. PTFP Mexico Station Time Period: 10/1/2008 9/30/2009 Amount: $62,976 KBIA Radio, located in Columbia, MO, has been operating on behalf of the citizens of Central Missouri for more than 35 years. Funding would help construct a new 450 Watt ERP, FM Station in Mexico, MO.. FY09 OCA Quality Arts and Education Series Time Period: 11/24/2008-5/9/2009 City of Col MO Amount: $7, The mission of the University Concert Series is to present artists and artistic performances of the highest caliber in order to educate the Columbia Missouri community about diverse art forms and cultures through live performances, community residencies and public involvement. This year's line-up includes, among others, performances from singer Trisha Yearwood and violinist Chloe Hanslip.
