3 Nobleford Parent Association c/o Box 145 Coalhurst AB, T0L 0V0 Brenda Macmillan: (403) , Colleen Jones: Incorporated January 30, 2007, # GOAL: -To provide the students at Noble Central School with the extra funds to assist in affordability and creating more opportunities in many areas, such as field trips to science centres, extracurricular activities, and other various camps and projects. OBJECTIVES: -To promote and encourage membership for increased participation and support. -To seek, encourage, and partake in fund-raising opportunities. -To partner with other Nobleford societies and groups for increased support and higher benefit results. -To access funds through available grants and donations. -To promote and increase awareness of the benefits of just a fraction of someones time and support. -To welcome and encourage everyone for their ideas and/or support. HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -Purchase and installation of digital sign and playground at Noble Central School -Co-hosted Mother s Day Plant Sale/Trade Fair with Ag Society, Community Garage Sale with Heritage Society, and Heritage Days Trade Fair with Heritage Society -Sponsored projects at NCS such as Bugz and African Drumming presentations

4 Nobleford & District Emergency Services Box 281 (403) OBJECTIVES: Provide fire protection and emergency services to the Village of Nobleford and the surrounding county. OTHER: In Partnership, the Village of Nobleford and Lethbridge County support the delivery of Volunteer emergency services in Nobleford and the County of Lethbridge.

5 Nobleford Agricultural Society Box 154 Incorporated 1979 The Nobleford Agricultural Society has a very active and growing membership that is dedicated in supporting the agricultural community Centre OBJECTIVE: -The objective of the Nobleford Agriculture Society is to encourage improvement in agriculture, and in the quality of life of persons living in an agricultural community by developing programs and services based on the needs of the agricultural community. HISTORICAL ACTIVITES: -Operated and Managed the Nobleford Community Complex for over 28 years. -Organized and Coordinated the Horticultural Fair for the Nobleford Heritage Days for over 28 years. -Will continue to host the Annual Mothers Day Plant Sale and Harvest Supper.

6 Nobleford Area Museum Society 225 Milnes Street Box 505 Incorporated 1989 OBJECTIVES OF SOCIETY: -To collect, preserve, portray and research the cultural history of Nobleford and the surrounding district through natural history, specimens, artifacts, documents, maps, information etc. which is significant to the history of the area. Also to show how the Noble Blade was manufactured. HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -Development of the blade park. -The Museum Society is proud of their efforts and hard work in the restoration and development of the original blade factory.

HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -Organize as a incorporated society including a membership drive, announcing ourselves to likeminded members of the community & surrounding area. -Fundraiser garage sale in June Solicit donations, grant applications, and STEP Program application. -Organize annual Spring and Fall Tradeshows -Cellphone service booster at Complex -Smart TV upstairs at Complex

10 Nobleford Heritage Society c/o Box 332 Melissa Jensen: (403) Incorporated March 3, 2009, # Fiscal Year-End: October 31 GOALS: -The goal of the society is to arrange and organize community events, encouraging socialization and community involvement, and providing learning opportunities to further one s knowledge. OBJECTIVES: -To promote and provide opportunities for friendly, social events and activities for everyone. -To provide a meeting place to plan and organize, and exchange various information, ideas and suggestions. -To promote and encourage membership for increased interest and participation from the community and surrounding area. -To seek and encourage grant funding and fund-raising opportunities to allow for affordable participation and enjoyment by everyone. -To partner with the Village of Nobleford and other Nobleford Societies/groups HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -Annual Nobleford Heritage Day -Annual Community Garage Sale

11 Box 35 Nobleford Legion HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -Involved in the group effort enhancements to Centennial Park for Nobleford s Centennial in 2018, including construction of the Legion Pavilion. Nobleford Oldtimer s Association 152 King Street Box 471 (403) Oldtimer memberships are available to all those over the age of 45 years. Gathering for crafts, coffee, or playing pool are a few examples or the activities that go on regularly. GOALS: -To organize weekly social and recreational gatherings in Nobleford.

12 Nobleford Parks & Recreation Society Suite #3, 112 Kipp Street Box 412 (403) Incorporated: May 20, 2009, # Fiscal year-end: August 31 OBJECTIVES: -To provide for the recreation of the members and to promote and afford opportunity for friendly social activities. -To encourage and promote amateur games and exercises. -To provide all necessary equipment and furnishings for carrying on its various objectives. HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -The Society s first project was to construct a park between Barons Street and 10A Street in Nobleford. The park was opened August 5, 2011 and included a Water Spray Park, playground equipment, adult fitness equipment and a washroom/change room. In 2012 underground sprinklers, additional sod, trees, picnic tables and a basketball court/ skate rink was added. -In 2012 the Apollo playground equipment was added to Centennial Park. - In , horse rides have been provided at the annual Heritage Days Celebrations.

14 Force 10 Boardsailing Club North Shore of Keho Lake, (a few km north of Nobleford) Box Incorporated April 1986, # OBEJCTIVE: -To secure and maintain water access for water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing. HISTORICAL ACTIVITIES: -The Club leased water front property from AB Government on the North Shore of Keho lake KEHOKIPA and maintained this beach site and made it available to the public for the past 20 years at no charge. -The Club has hosted numerous provincial, national, and international windsurfing speed trials and is home to many individual sailor speed records of over 70 kmph by a wind powered sail. -The clubs hosts annual weekend activities at many southern Alberta lakes and organizes annual group trips to exotic tropical locations.

Hopefully that experience will continue to be passed on. Golf to your capability from the red, white or blue tee box. Weekday Rate: Weekend Rate: 9 Holes $ Holes $ Holes $ Holes $24.00 Cart: 9 Holes $ Holes $19.00 Junior Golfing lessons offered in June. AMENITIES: Restaurant, Pro Shop, putting green, driving range. The campground, adjacent to Keho Lake, has expanded to approximately 90 stalls. Overnight camping also available.

16 Churches Christian Reformed Church of Nobleford 522 Highway Avenue Box 179 Nobleford, T0L 1S0 Church: (403) Study: (403) Fax: (403) Incorporated as a Society in Alberta in 1905 OBJECTIVES: -Worship services every Sunday 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. -There are various programs open to the community such as Gems for girls, Cadets for boys, ladies coffee break, tot time for preschool children, burger bash, spaghetti supper, annual church supper and bazaar, vacation bible school in the summer, and more. HISTORICAL ACTIVITES: Celebrated 100 years as a church in 2005

18 Policy #02-22 Village of Nobleford Policy #02-22 Not-for-Profit Initiatives Funding Adopted and approved by Council resolution # November 14, 2008 Purpose: To foster creative, responsible, environmental, recreation parks and cultural, sustainable not-for-profit volunteer initiatives that improve the quality of life for Village residents without financially, or otherwise, burdening the Village property taxpayers. 1. The Village may offer cash funding commitments annually for, creative, environmental, recreation and parks, sustainable not-for-profit volunteer initiatives. 2. The Village Council may hear formal presentations accompanied by written applications from not for profit registered societies in Nobleford by December 31 of the year prior to funding award. All applications shall be presented to the Village Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in accordance with Village policy. 3. A written application to the Village shall include: a. Not for Profit Alberta incorporated Society registration confirmation. b. Definition of what, Not-For-Profit, means to your organized special interest group. c. A mandate indicating the objective as to how it will improve the Village of Nobleford. d. A detailed description of the initiative. e. A 5-year plan from the Society and the specific initiative(s) including: concept, vision, objective, process and timeline for implementation and sustainability issues. f. Ages of, and how many Nobleford residents will directly benefit from the initiative. g. Ages of, and how many NON Nobleford residents will benefit from the initiative. h. Identification of partners and their commitment in the initiative. i. Any additional information. 4. Village funding commitment awards will be announced by May 31, annually. 5. Village funding commitments may be banked for up to 2 years for a specific initiative. 6. Funding commitments from the Village must be used to match equivalent eligible cash funding that will be used to match funding requirements for grants from sources outside the Village of Nobleford. Acceptable Example; Society has a $5000 initiative. Society raises $1000. cash, Village commits $1000. cash, donated goods and services of $500. Lottery grant of $ The Village will only support funding strategies that have a multiplier effect on the Village funding commitment. The example above has a 5x multiplier effect on the Village $1000 funding commitment. 8. Village funding commitment will be paid to the Society when the society proves to the Village that they have received matching cash funds and applicable grants deposited to their bank account sufficient to achieve their initiative applied for. 9. In the event of default of the Society initiative, all village awarded funds are to be returned to the Village within one year of Village payment to the Society. 10. All Societies receiving Village direct or indirect subsidies or funding are to present an annual activities report and an annual audited financial statements to the Village.

19 Policy #02-23 Village of Nobleford, POLICY #02-23 SUBJECT: New Nobleford Not-for-Profit Societies Funding ADOPTED & APPROVED BY COUNCIL: RESOLUTION # , Nov PURPOSE To assist Nobleford Volunteer organizations in funding incorporation and banking start up costs. Upon request, the Village may provide up to $ to incorporate new Nobleford not for profit Societies and to establish a bank account. Examples may be an All-Season Complex Society; a Heritage Day Society; a Nobleford in Bloom

20 Business Licenses Anyone conducting business in Nobleford needs to register for a business license. There is no charge to get a business license in Nobleford. Apply online or visit the municipal office. Sons of Wind and Soil The first edition of the Nobleford/Monarch history book, Sons of Wind and Soil, is being reprinted, with the addition of Volume II.
