1 Know how information on funding Purpose/Scope Community organisations make a huge contribution to the wellbeing of our city and our people. To help continue this great work we provide funding through a number of funding schemes. Hutt City Council have recently developed a Community Funding Policy (PDF 195 Kb) that outlines the approach Council takes to community funding. In 2013 Council purchased an online grants management system. The reason was to keep a better track on the applications coming through and to provide better communication. Council recognises that there are also organisations who are unfamiliar with online applications and therefore it also offer support via 1+1 visits, community workshops, and also other opportunities that may exist in regard to fundraising, other funding that is available. huttcity.govt.nz

4 Under Make an applica on online you can click on online to be taken through to the Grants Management System The system is set up for Community Groups/ organisa ons Reminder Crea ve Communi es funding is the only fund where individuals can apply for funding You can either log in or register yourself or organisa on as a new user This will keep a permanent record on everything your organisa on applies for under Council funding

5 If your organisa on is new, you ll need to fill in further informa on Then it will search to confirm that your organisa on is actually new If you re an individual (you can only apply for Crea ve Communi es Fund) just make up a number under the Chari es Commission Click on Check Org the system will check to ensure no duplica on The system will then ask you a series of ques ons about your organisa on Remember, these ques ons are around a community or organisa on, so just put anything in Just make sure that your contact details are correct otherwise we won t be able to contact you

6 You ll be asked to create your own password it needs to include le ers and numbers Click on Submit If you haven t completed a field in the form it will advise you that there is informa on missing You need to enter in all of the informa on requested

9 Filling out your application Complete the fields Remember to SAVE your applica on If you don t fill in all the informa on you ll get an error message

10 Make sure you ck the DECLARATION box You have successfully completed an applica on form You re given a Grant request number You re able to edit your applica on un l the fund closes

12 Next me you log into the system look under Grant requests Once your applica on is completed and you are successful with funding, you are required to submit an accountability form. You can also do this accountability form through the site. You can do this by edi ng your Approved Grant Request and at the end of the form you will see Accountability Form, click new.
