Tides Center (San Francisco, CA) Total Award: $150,000 over 24 Months Open MIC (Open Media and Information Companies Initiative) Renewed funding to Open MIC, fiscally sponsored by the Tides Center, in its efforts to activate institutional investors to press for change on a range of issues in the technology and media sectors.

Clean Energy Group (Montpelier, VT) Total Award: $150,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to Clean Energy Group to increase adoption of solar and storage solutions in multifamily affordable housing and critical facilities in low and moderate income (LMI) communities; and to provide technical assistance to states developing policies and programs for energy storage and renewable energy technologies. Dēmos: A Network For Ideas And Action, LTD. Total Award: $200,000 over 12 Months Supporting an Inclusive and Equitable Clean Economy Transformation Renewed funding to Dēmos' research, policy and strategic communications work to advance climate change organizing and advocacy with a racial, gender and economic equity focus. Environmental Grantmakers Association Total Award: $10,980 over 6 Months Renewed funding to the Environmental Grantmakers Association to work with members and partners to promote effective environmental philanthropy. Emerald Cities Collaborative Total Award: $135,000 over 18 Months To provide general support to Emerald Cities Collaborative (ECC) to increase the number of high-road clean energy projects that deliver environmental, economic, and equity benefits to low-income residents and communities; and to engage communications expertise to improve ECC s impact.

Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (Los Angeles, CA) Renewed funding to Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE) for its work to bring clean energy and emissions reductions benefits and green jobs to low-income communities in California. Movement Strategy Center (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $410,000 over 24 Months Climate Justice Alliance Renewed funding to the Climate Justice Alliance (CJA) to strengthen and expand its national alliance of local and state-based frontline organizations that build local resilience, advance a Just Transition to an inclusive clean energy economy, and support hurricane recovery. National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (Baltimore, MD) / Total Award: $300,000 over 24 Months Power to the People: Advancing Grassroots Leadership on Clean Energy To provide support to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People s (NAACP s) Environmental Climate and Justice Program (ECJPto advance state level community solar policies and facilitate community solar projects in priority cities and in rural areas in collaboration with rural electric co-ops. One Voice Inc. (Jackson, MS) Total Award: $150,000 over 18 Months General support To provide general support to Mississippi-based One Voice to expand its Electric Co-operative Leadership Institute (ECLI), and advocate for improved energy democracy, greater clean energy commitments and energy efficiency savings for members of eight of the state s rural electric cooperatives (RECs).
5 People's Action Institute (Chicago, IL) Total Award: $125,000 over 12 Months Changing Hearts and Minds in Rural Communities and Small Towns To provide support to People s Action Institute's (PAI) Changing Hearts and Minds in Rural Communities and Small Towns project to develop a shared vision across race and class for an inclusive clean energyeconomy. The Solutions Project (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $130,000 over 12 Months Climate and Equity Convenings To provide support to three convenings that will bring together a broad range of stakeholders to create greater investments in community determined clean energy; narrative change and policy strategies that advance an inclusive clean energy economy. We Own It Inc (Madison, WI) Total Award: $150,000 over 18 Months General support To provided general support to We Own It's (WOI) to build and strengthen the movement for rural electric cooperative reform by improving democratic representation on governing boards and transparency, driving investment in energy efficiency and local clean energy solutions, and creating equitable community economic development.
6 ISRAEL Jewish Funders Network Total Award: $600,000 over 18 Months Shaharit: Creating Common Cause Renewed funding to Shaharit to expand its work as a backbone "think and do" organization for the "Common Good" field in Israel. New Israel Fund Total Award: $600,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to the New Israel Fund (NIF) to build the capacities and structures required to make democracy possible in Israel through an innovation fund (NIFD), shared society projects, narrative shift and culture change intiatives, and support for women as agents of change.
7 RACIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE Action Center on Race and the Economy Institute (Chicago, IL) To provide general support to the Action Center on Race and the Economy (ACRE) to dismantle structural racism, win wealth and resources for communities of color and working-class communities, and shift the balance of power from Wall Street to communities. Borealis Philanthropy (Minneapolis, MN) Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months Communities Transforming Policing Fund To provide support to the Communities Transforming Policing Fund (CTPF), a collaborative donor project of Borealis Philanthropy to bolster grassroots organizing capacity and advocacy for communitypolice accountability and local intervention policies. Center for Popular Democracy Inc (Brooklyn, NY) Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months Local Progress To provide support to Local Progress, a project of the Center for Popular Democracy, to deepen relationships with grassroots organizations and build its priority platforms around police reform. Coalition of Immokalee Workers (Immokalee, FL) Total Award: $75,000 over 12 Months To provide general support the Coalition for Immokalee Workers (CIW) to address and prevent systemic abuses at the hands of farm owners and managers. ColorOfChange.Org Education Fund (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $800,000 over 24 Months and Fight Back Table Renewed funding to Color of Change (CoC) to expand their online racial justice organizing to rapidly respond to flashpoint moments of violence and inequity experienced by black people in the US, build policy, and shift narratives in mainstream media spaces that reflect the lived experience of black communities.
8 Ella Baker Center For Human Rights in California (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $150,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights In California (EBC) to end mass incarceration and police state violence. The organization prioritizes work with formerly incarcerated people and their families to ensure criminal justice reform encompasses redevelopment of and reinvestments in the communities most impacted by racism, classism, and gender-based violence in the existing criminal justice system. Georgia Strategic Alliance for New Directions and Unified Policies Inc (Atlanta, GA) Total Award: $45,000 over 12 Months Black Organizing for Liberation Strategy Lab To provide support to the Black Organizing for Liberation Strategy Lab (the Strategy Lab), a project of Georgia Strategic Alliance for New Directions and Unified Policies (Stand-Up to coordinate a national gathering of leaders from the Black-led social change movement. Jobs with Justice Education Fund Total Award: $450,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to Jobs With Justice Education Fund (JWJEF) to address national and local issues of poverty and inequality among working people, particularly communities of color, immigrants and women. Living Cities Inc The National Community Development Initiative Activest To provide support to Activest, a project of Living Cities Inc., to change public finance and leverage the municipal bond market to end prison expansion and support equitable reinvestment in communities. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA) Total Award: $250,000 over 18 Months CoLab Renewed funding to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) CoLab program to build partnerships with communities that create wealth, and promote democratic engagement and urban sustainability.
9 Miami Workers Center Inc (Miami, FL) Total Award: $150,000 over 24 Months To provide general support the Miami Workers Center Inc. (MWC), to: build the power and selfdetermination of south Florida s most oppressed communities, especially working women of color, and build a progressive voice and platform that can nurture the growth of movements for social change in Florida and in the United States. Movement Strategy Center (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $100,000 over 24 Months National Black Worker Center Project To provide support the National Black Worker Center Project (NBWCP) to create a shared narrative, power analysis, and communications assessment that will deepen and grow support and implement organizing campaigns that create wealth and build political power for black people. National Day Laborer Organizing Network (Los Angeles, CA) To provide general support the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON to elevate the voices and improve the lives of low-wage laborers. National Domestic Workers Alliance, Inc. Total Award: $900,000 over 24 Months and #Resist Renewed funding to National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) to build a vibrant and inclusive movement among caregivers and those for whom they provide care, to transform the way care work and caregivers are viewed by our society and by policy makers. Restaurant Opportunities Centers United, Inc. Total Award: $450,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to Restaurant Opportunities Centers United (ROC) to improve the way service workers are viewed by society and policy makers.
10 TakeAction Minnesota Education Fund (St. Paul, MN) Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to TakeAction Minnesota Education Fund's (TAMN) broad-based alliance of social justice groups in Minnesota working to advance economic and racial justice. Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Inc. Total Award: $60,000 over 12 Months Executives Alliance for Boys and Men of Color To provide support to Executives Alliance (EA) for Boys and Men of Color to strengthen the philanthropic sector s breadth, depth and coordination of investments and activities that focus on expanding opportunities and wellness for boys and men of color, their families, and their communities.
11 VOICE, CREATIVITY AND CULTURE ARTS & CULTURE Center for Investigative Reporting, Inc. (San Francisco, CA) Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months To provide general support to the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) to produce high impact watchdog reporting on issues of public interest that overlap with the NCF focus areas Voice, Creativity and Culture, Racial and Economic Justice, Inclusive Clean Economy and Corporate and Political Accountability. It is being recommended under the Safeguarding the Truth additional payout category, with the goal of providing important information and analysis in each of our areas of investment and more broadly transforming the American conversation by producing powerful, true storytelling on justice issues. Community Initiatives (San Francisco, CA) Total Award: $100,000 over 24 Months Renaissance Journalism To provide support to Renaissance Journalism (RJ) to create and launch strategic initiatives that aid journalists and their news organizations to produce ambitious, in-depth and compelling stories that reveal and illuminate injustice and inequality. They elevate the voices and stories that are missing, or mangled, in the media, and position journalism as critical to communities and our broader democracy. Efforts of Grace, Inc. (New Orleans, LA) Total Award: $200,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to Efforts of Grace (EoG) (aka the Ashé Cultural Arts Center) for the utilization of art and culture to foster equitable community and human development by producing and presenting artistic work and cultural programming that demonstrates the positive contributions people of African descent make to their communities. EoG aims to help people find the information, inspiration, and ideas that result in increased wealth creation and employment, education, wellness, habitation in decent housing, and engagement in cultural and civic affairs. Firelight Media Inc. Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months Documentary Lab Renewed funding to Firelight Media (FM) for the Documentary Lab, Firelight s largest program. It is the only program of its kind dedicated to supporting, cultivating, and propelling filmmakers of color with the goal of diversifying narratives in media making.
12 First Peoples Fund (Rapid City, SD) To provide final support to the First Peoples Fund (FPF) for the arts and culture of Indigenous communities in addressing their socio-economic challenges. As shepherds of ancestral practices and histories, Indigenous artists (practicing and potential) and culture bearers are important to sustaining the vitality of Native society. National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (San Antonio, TX) Total Award: $150,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) to provide financial resources, professional skills training and leadership development for Latinx artists and those working in the field, and to create a network of artists and arts organizations of color to share knowledge and increase solidarity. National Trust for Historic Preservation in the United States Total Award: $150,000 over 12 Months Fund for African American Cultural Heritage To support the launch of the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund to establish a multi-milliondollar grants fund to save, preserve, and rehabilitate African American historic sites throughout the country. This project aligns with the Voice, Creativity and Culture s work to shift narratives towards justice and to amplify stories for racial justice. The Trust has assembled an extraordinary group of advisors, including Ava DuVernay, Henry Louis Gates, Sherrilyn Ifill and Bryan Stevenson. Neighborhood Funders Group (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $10,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to the Neighborhood Funders Group (NFG), a member-based affinity group that builds the capacity of philanthropy to advance social justice and community change. NFG organizes the social justice philanthropy field, develops leaders within its national base of members, and encourages the philanthropic field to support policies and practices that advance economic, racial, and social justice.
13 NEO Philanthropy, Inc. Total Award: $100,000 over 24 Months Arts in a Changing America To provide final suppport to Arts in a Changing America (ArtChangeUS), their national five-year project that uses arts and culture to understand and engage the dramatic demographic transformation happening in the U.S. New Venture Fund Total Award: $700,000 over 24 Months Media Democracy Fund Renewed funding to the Media Democracy Fund, a collaborative fund focused on advancing Internet and communications openness and the ability for all individuals to have access to information and expression through digital networks. No Longer Empty Inc Total Award: $80,000 over 5 Months Hold These Truths To provide support for an in-house exhibit in the Fall of 2017, Hold These Truths, a titular reference to the Declaration of Independence, that is a group exhibition organized in response to this crucial and complex time in United States history. Not An Alternative Inc. (Brooklyn, NY) Total Award: $150,000 over 24 Months To provide general support to Not An Alternative (NAA) for its mobile museum installation series highlighting corporate influence in science museums and engaging communities impacted by the production and consumption of fossil fuels. Race Forward Total Award: $300,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding for the expansion of Race Forward's work related to addressing systemic racism using the strategies of research, journalism, trainings and convenings to drive policies, shift narratives and organize a strong ecosystem of racial justice actors, organizations and networks.
14 Revolutions Per Minute (Louisville, KY) To provide final support to Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) to train and support musicians to play a potent, vital and effective role in the promotion of social justice. Tides Center (San Francisco, CA) Total Award: $300,000 over 24 Months The Opportunity Agenda Renewed funding to support the Opportunity Agenda (OA) in its work to leverage media and communications strategies, provide communications training to social justice activists, and develop innovative tools to creatively and effectively tell stories in ways that shape narratives, and drive cultural shifts and policy change.
15 VOICE, CREATIVITY AND CULTURE RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS & CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICE Anti-Defamation League Total Award: $150,000 over 18 Months Center on Hate Crimes and Extremism Training for Law Enforcement Renewed funding to expand the work of the Center on Hate Crimes and Extremism Trainings for Law Enforcement in response to increased hate crimes directed at Jewish and communities of color and counter biased policing practices. Bend The Arc - A Jewish Partnership For Justice Total Award: $250,000 over 24 Months Jewish Social Justice Roundtable Renewed funding to the Jewish Social Justice Roundtable (JSJR), a network of 57 Jewish social justice organizations to support racial justice training and build internal capacity. Faith in Public Life, Inc. Total Award: $300,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to the Faith in Public Life (FPL) to strengthen the effectiveness, collaboration, and reach of progressive religious groups through movement building and communications. Fractured Atlas Inc. Faith Matters Network Renewed funding to the Faith Matters Network (FMN) to train, connect, convene, and amplify marginalized people of faith to articulate a moral vision for our society and support a mapping and evaluation project for NCF program staff on the emerging field of healing justice and resilience. ISAIAH (St. Paul, MN) Total Award: $150,000 over 12 Months Prophetic Voices To provide final support to ISAIAH and AMOS (ISAIAH) to support organizing, activism and stand with immigrants, people of color, low-income people, rural residents, and the white working class.
16 Jews For Racial and Economic Justice Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to Jews for Racial & Economic Justice (JFREJ) to engage Jews in challenging the interrelated problems of racism, anti-semitism, Islamophobia and economic injustice while building crosscutting partnerships. JOIN for Justice, Inc. (Boston, MA) Total Award: $35,000 over 12 Months JWOC Resilience Project To support JOIN for Justice as fiscal sponsor for Dimensions, Inc. to create a Resilience Circle for Jewish women leaders of color to experience an intersectional leadership development model that merges transformational activism, spirituality and self-care. LA Voice (Los Angeles, CA) Muslim Organizer Training Initiative To provide support to LA Voice, an affiliate of the PICO National Network, to create a curriculum and provide leadership training for 30 prominent Muslim leaders and organizers in partnership with Muslim community organizations. Liberty Hill Foundation (Los Angeles, CA) James Lawson Institute To provide support the James Lawson Institute (JLI) to offer intensive three-day institutes in Los Angeles, Chicago or Detroit, and Nashville in the next year for experienced progressive organizers to learn the craft of non-violent civil resistance, as well as to deepen the bench of trainers in nonviolent strategic action. Movement Strategy Center (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $100,000 over 24 Months Transitions Initiative Labs To provide support the Movement Strategy Center (MSC) for its Transitions Initiative, a series of gatherings of social movement innovators to support a just transition to a clean, inclusive economy.
17 PICO National Network (Oakland, CA) Total Award: $375,000 over 18 Months Renewed funding to PICO National Network (PICO), the largest multi-faith, multi-racial organizing network in the country to advance racial and economic justice and support state and national campaigns for working people. Political Research Associates (Somerville, MA) Total Award: $200,000 over 24 Months Anti-Semitism Convening To provide support to the Political Research Associates (PRA) for a cross-movement convening and exmination of the links between antisemitism, the white nationalist movement, and anti-black racism, and to create a curriculum for activists looking to understand these issues. Public Religion Research Institute Total Award: $350,000 over 18 Months To provide final support to the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) to conduct, analyze, and disseminate public opinion surveys at the intersection of religion, values, and public life. Repair the World Inc The One America Movement To provide final? support to the One America Movement (OAM), a project of the service organization Repair the World, to complete a successful pilot phase of building bridges across political, religious, racial, and economic difference through service. Sojourners To provide final support to Sojourners to bring diverse faith voices to the table and help facilitate coordinated, collective action to address inequalities and racial injustice, with a focus on economic inequalities and criminal justice reform.
18 T ruah Total Award: $250,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to T ruah to bring together rabbis and cantors from all streams of Judaism, together with all members of the Jewish community, to act on the Jewish imperative to respect and advance the human rights of all people in both the US and in Israel. Union for Reform Judaism Total Award: $1,200,000 over 18 Months The Religious Action Center and Just Congregations Renewed funding to the Religious Action Center (RAC) to further develop a robust, powerful Reform Jewish constituency that works with other diverse communities to bring about racial and economic justice. Union Theological Seminary Total Award: $100,000 over 6 Months Poor People's Campaign To provide support to the New Poor People s Campaign (PPC) to facilitate their preparation to evolve from a network of organizations into a broad-based campaign with shared governance, infrastructure, and activities. V-Day Total Award: $50,000 over 12 Months Revolutionary Love Project To provide support to the Revolutionary Love Project (RLP) for strategy development and a communications plan to advance a new public ethic and practice that can help transform American culture and politics.
19 INFRASTRUCTURE National Center for Family Philanthropy, Inc. Total Award: $10,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to National Center for Family Philanthropy to promote philanthropic values, vision, and excellence across generations of donors and donor families. National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy Total Award: $60,000 over 24 Months Renewed funding to National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy to promote philanthropy that serves the public good, is responsive to people and communities with the least wealth and opportunity, and is held accountable to the highest standards of integrity and openness. Peak Grantmaking Total Award: $3,000 over 12 Months Renewed funding to Peak Grantmaking in its efforts to improve grantmaking by advancing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of grants management professionals and leading grantmakers to adopt and incorporate effective practices that benefit the philanthropic community.
