Multi-family Dvlopmnt Low Incom Housing Tax Crdits and HOME Partnrship (Constructd: $20,573,104; Financd: $27,808,277) Low Incom Housing Tax Crdits and HOME Partnrship ar our primary sourcs of funding for nw affordabl rntal housing. W us a comptitiv scoring procss to allocat th tax crdits among proposd housing dvlopmnts to nsur th housing is srving aras with th gratst nds. In 2014, ths funding sourcs brought approximatly $20 million for th construction of 183 units, and $27.8 million for th financing of 746 units. Rpairs ar gnrally limitd to $15,000. Pr-1978 proprtis may qualify for up to an additional $10,000 for lad hazard control. Homlss Initiativs McKinny-Vnto Funds Continuums of Car ($10,408,035) This funding hlps support 38 local homlss housing and srvic programs throughout Main. Th local programs rciving th grants offr a varity of srvics to thos who ar xprincing homlssnss, including strt outrach, clint assssmnt, and dirct housing assistanc. This HUD funding allows local providrs in th two Continuums of Car (CoC) in Main Portland CoC and th Main CoC to offr prmannt and transitional housing to prsons who ar homlss as wll as srvics, including job training, halth car, mntal halth counsling, substanc abus tratmnt, and child car. Emrgncy Solutions Grant (ESG) Shltr Oprating Subsidy ($742,262) MainHousing allocats ths funds to Main s ntwork of 42 mrgncy homlss shltrs statwid. Shltrs us th funds for oprating xpnss, and a nw supplmnt allows som funds to b usd for srvics as wll. Hom to Stay Program ($787,975) MainHousing allocats ESG funds to b usd for housing rlocation and stabilization srvics that will b providd in ordr to rapidly r-hous and stabiliz individuals and familis who ar living in shltrs and on th strts across Main. This funding is availabl to homlss srvic providrs to mploy housing assistanc navigators to conduct comprhnsiv assssmnts of clints, idntify and prioritiz housing nds, crat housing stability plans, assist with housing sarch and placmnt, and follow clints byond shltr to nsur housing stability. HOME Partnrship Program Stability Through Engagmnt Program (STEP) ($402,876) MainHousing allocats funds for short-trm or mdium-trm rntal assistanc not to xcd 12 months to individuals or familis who ar homlss and whos annual incom is st at or blow 60% of ara mdian incom for thir houshold siz.
