10 Collecting feedback about and from young scientists PHOTO BY KASPARS SILS: KIDS AT HEUREKA SCIENCE MUSEUM, HELSINKI In 2010, during the campaign of collecting the mid-term feedback from the BONUS+ projects, we asked coordinators to reflect about YS involvement and queried the early carrier scientists themselves. The YS response level was around 28% Coordinators recognized the support to joint training activities as the third most appreciated aspect of BONUS Secretariat work (the first two were organizing the BONUS Conferences and assisting with reporting).

Some take home messages Early career scientists are a significant power of the Programme, their needs can not be neglected. Different YS groups (countries, disciplines etc.

Different YS groups (countries, disciplines etc.) have different needs - respect them! A joint programme provides lot of opportunities to support YS in various ways chase them! Collect the feedback it works both ways! Put aside some programme funds for joint support activities addressing YS this investment pays!
