9 Fiscal incentives for R&D Over 2.5% of GDP are earmarked to R&D and innovation over next 2 years; R&D costs deducted 3 times from income for the tax period during which they were incurred, if the performed R&D works are related to the usual or intended activities of the entity that generate or will generate income or economic benefit ; Investments in development and improvement of R&D infrastructure Funds allocated to R&D activities, preparation of surveys and feasibility studies, marketing, training, etc. Super-accelerated depreciation - acquisition price of fixed assets used in the R&D activities can be written-off within two years; Investments into substantial technological improvements entitles the companies to reduce the taxable profit down by 50%.

11 Integrated Research, Studies and Business centres (Valleys) Mission establish and develop a core of knowledge economy, form a new scientific and business environment as well as stimulate a cooperation among competitive science, high technology and other businesses, related to knowledgebased economy, would be stimulated. Main goals: - Encouraging technology transfer and the commercialization of publicly funded research - Fostering a culture of entrepreneurship both within universities and research institutes and amongst the population - Creating new employment and wealth creation opportunities for university graduates, scientists and researchers - Attracting new foreign direct investment in high value added activity areas.
