4 Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs The Foundation for Women Entrepreneurs (Malta) is an independent non-profit organization which became operational in December It has been set up for the promotion of opportunities, awareness building, training and research in the field of Women Entrepreneurs and other gender issues. It aims at establishing entrepreneurship as a culture and way of life for women not only business owners, but workers, mothers and citizens on a national, European and Mediterranean level.

5 Aims & Beliefs The Foundation aims and believes in enhancing and networking with similar organizations and/or institutions and/or non governmental organizations in Europe and North Africa with the aim of establishing collaborative initiatives in order to urgently and constantly address the issue of the so-called gender inequalities and assist communities to bridge that gap.

6 Our Mission is to: foster the creation of women entrepreneurial networks create awareness of the impact that women entrepreneurs can have on the national and regional economy help prospective entrepreneurs to develop themselves.

8 Training Services Course Title: Promoting the Culture of Entrepreneurship The objectives of this programme are: introducing entrepreneurship promoting entrepreneurship to women, youths and other minorities introduction to leadership skills understanding marketing and customer care assisting in start-ups - setting up your own business networking in the European union to assist people in bringing out their full potential vis-a-vis leadership to assist facilitators in transferring their knowledge to others a clear knowledge of HR practices and skills

9 Project Management The Foundation has a proven track record in the EU field and actively participates in many EU funded projects. Through experience in the field FWE has developed know-how and expertise in EU project writing and consultancy. The Foundation is continuously on the look out for innovative and ground breaking research to include in its international consortia. Further FWE maintains a healthy portfolio of international clients and has developed a network of contacts through which it helps its clients find partners. The Foundation also excels in providing information and advice to its clients by keeping them updated with regards to the opportunities arising from membership of the European Union already ripe for the picking and provides a regular information service targeted at the clients' needs

10 Mentoring The Foundation offers different types of mentoring services designed to help different types of business owners. The mentoring programmes are designed to help individual entrepreneurs develop their knowledge, ability and confidence to build stronger, high growth, more sustainable businesses. We can offer our clients practical advice on business planning assistance, problem solving for business challenges and identify growth strategies for business opportunities. FWE can help them look at the big picture, and to take stock of where their business is at and may identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that they have missed. We will help them refocus on their business goals and offer advice on strategies to better achieve them.

18 Business Platform for Multilingualism F.W.E. is a member of the Business Platform for Multilingualism. The purpose of the Platform is to exchange ideas and suggestions among the members in order to deliver an advice to the European Commission on how multilingualism should be improved in the coming years. This advice will be taken into consideration in the drafting of the Recommendation on multilingualism that the EU will publish in 2011 and that will be addressed to the Member States.
