Now this might not seem like a momentous occasion, but it really is. It marks
7 Page 7 of 10 a new era in which all PMP instruction and examinations will be based upon the new PMBOK 4 Edition. As of June 30th, the PMP Certification Exam will no longer be based on the PMBOK 3rd Edition. We recently finished the delivery or our Spring PMP Prep Certification Class based on the new PMBOK, and our local chapter has so much to be proud of. The team that helped review and update all of our instruction for this new certification class based on the PMBOK 4th Edition included: Andrea Brockmeier, Denny Chirhart, Jesse Freese, Betty Ingram, John Kaman, Terri Kimball, Elizabeth Larson, Bob Nenovich, Karen Rainford, John Skovbroten, and Bob Storeygard. After completing our recent Spring Prep Certification Class, many of these individuals helped revise and tweak the materials based on feedback from the class participants. Requests from other PMI Chapters who have heard that we offer free copies of our materials have been flooding in from chapters including Oregon, Michigan, and Florida just to name a few. This entire effort has required hundreds of volunteer hours to produce a Certification Course that is known for its creative and thorough treatment of the project management processes, knowledge areas, and related best business practices. This doesn t happen by magic, and I would like to invite you to thank these volunteers for their hard work and dedication to our Chapter. They have definitely gone above and beyond the call of duty for our organization. Also, special recognition must be given to Terri Kimball who is our certification program manager. To her and to all volunteers associated with the Certification Program, I would like to thank you all with heartfelt sincerity. Kudos to you all!
