6 Grant Seeker Frustration Grows 90% of charity officials wish foundations would talk more openly about grants that didn t work 75% said they want grant makers to disclose more about how they evaluate the work they support and a grantee s performance. Only 29% understand exactly how foundations use the information their grantees are required to provide.. 11 What Grant Seekers Want 87% of charities said they think foundations should be more open about how they determine their own performance 77% said they wish foundations would talk in public about their own impact. 12 6
7 More findings 52% of nonprofit executives believe their foundation funders are aware of the various challenges their organizations face. 18% of the nonprofit leaders in the new survey said they felt strongly that they could be candid with grant makers about their challenges.
