9 The Foundation was established in 1998 to serve as the official auxiliary non-profit to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and Chancellor s Office. The Foundation operates various programs all designed to benefit and support the 113 community colleges and its students. 9
10 Since inception, cooperative purchasing has been core to our mission of benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the missions of the California Community College system. Aggregate procurement is the best way to realize lower costs and secure better terms with vendors. Under the provisions of California Education Code and pursuant to the Master Agreement between the Foundation and the Board of Governors: The Foundation is authorized to initiate, manage and administer for the benefit of the Board voluntary cooperative purchasing agreements that benefit the community college districts and the Chancellor s Office 10
