My vision for IFPSM and indeed the whole profession is for us together, to maximise our individual, organisation and indeed national potential to the benefit of all. I am very confident that IFPSM will continue to grow and become even more influential within our global profession and also develop new products and services that add value to our members. I was delighted to welcome back into membership ADACI (Italy) in March and also congratulate SSCPA (Serbia) on their successful application for membership of IFPSM in February. I am excited to lead a fully committed Board of Directors who all share this vision and are fully committed to serve you, our members and the profession at large. All the members of the IFPSM Board contribute many hours, days and weeks on a voluntary basis of dedicated service to your Federation and I cannot lead the Federation without their encouragement and commitment to our mission. Our major bi- annual flagship event, the World Summit, takes place on 22/23 September This year, we are opening it up to practitioners as well as our own members. The theme is Sustainability Ensures Success and the speakers and workshops will offer many opportunities for you all to consider new thinking and initiatives to support your association s or organisations potential and your own development by learning from colleagues from across the world. I am thrilled that we are delivering two days of exciting and informative presentations by senior international key note speakers along with a series of workshop tracks that provide you with excellent opportunities to take back to your associations and organisations many real and tangible benefits. In partnership with our generous hosts, SMIT, we have designed a superb social programme which allows you to network with your colleagues from within our global Federation

3 3 IFPSM WORLD SUMMIT /23 SEPTEMBER 2017 SMIT was deeply honoured in March 2014 when the Board of IFPSM endorsed our wish to host the 2017 World Summit. We have worked diligently since then, alongside our colleagues on the Board of IFPSM, to create and develop a unique event for you to enjoy in our delightful Island of Taiwan. Taiwan has the 22nd largest economy in the world and our history can be traced back to prehistoric times when the island was actually joined to the mainland of China some 100,000 years ago. Taipei is the political, economic, educational and cultural centre of Taiwan and one of the major hubs of the Mandarin Chinese- speaking world. The cultures of Taiwan are a hybrid blend of various sources, incorporating elements of traditional Chinese culture, attributable to the historical and ancestry origin of the majority of its current residents, Japanese culture, traditional Confucianism beliefs, and Western values. Within the World Summit programme there are opportunities to enjoy the special hospitality of Taiwan and I echo the IFPSM President s wishes that we all represent our Nations and dress appropriately at the International Fellowship Dinner on Friday 22nd which is being fully sponsored by our partners, ASE and their COO Dr. Tien Wu. 6 6 CFLP ACHIEVES THE GLOBAL STANDARD IFPSM would like to congratulate CFLP on achieving the IFPSM Global Standard earlier this year. IFPSM: UPCOMING WEBINARS IFPSM IS delighted to announce that it will host three, one hour webinars on Thursday 22nd June, Tuesday 27th June and Tuesday 4th July The webinars will commence at 1100 (UK) and run through to 1200 (UK). Thursday 22 June - CWA Standard and partnership opportunity with AERCE Mr José Francisco Garrido Casas the IFPSM Regional Vice President for Europe will present the opportunity to associations of working in partnership with his association, AERCE, to promote and create a new income stream through the CWA Standard. AERCE has available all resource material, which has been translated into English, which they are happy to share in a partnership agreement with IFPSM members. José will explain during the webinar the benefits of the CWA standard and the opportunity to develop the delivery of the standard across all member countries and create new income streams for the association.

7 7 Tuesday 27th June - Single Window - Supply Chain Digitalisation Mr Tonis Hintsov of PROLOG, Estonia, presented this exciting initiative, that his association has that delivered in Estonia during the recent IFPSM Europe Region meeting in Budapest. Those members requested an opportunity to consider his presentation in greater depth and also to assess if supply chain digitalization should be an opportunity that the region and potentially the IFPSM global network should explore further. This webinar will be designed to allow Tonis to present his initiative and also for members to discuss how this could potentially benefit their associations and the network.
