Welcome to the meeting Chair called meeting to order. The meeting representatives introduced themselves due to the new members Henrik and Morten. 2. Agenda Agenda was accepted. 3. Previous meeting minutes and actions Minutes of the previous meeting was accepted. 4. News per country and local meetings FI

2 Minutes of meeting 2 (5) Works have started in Finnish Transport Agency ( ) comprising on former Finnish Maritime Administration, Finnish Rail Administration and Finnish Road Administration. No official abbreviation exists yet for the organization. Next local meeting is moved from 21.5 onto DK No news since previous meeting. Next local meeting is IS Ólafur Wallevik has joined the self-compacting concrete workgroup. Next local meeting is in June NO Norwegian group had meeting in Bergen. A technical tour was arranged on the construction site of the Hardangerbrua. Jørn is the new chairman and Morten the new secretary. Next meetings are and SE Works have started in the Swedish Transport Administration comprising on the former Swedish Road Administration and Swedish Rail Administration, as well as certain activities from other organizations. Raid Karoumi, KTH, will substitute Håkan Sundqvist, KTH, in NVF work. Peter Harrysson, Swedish Transport Administration, is the new member for the Structural monitoring workgroup. Next local meeting is Workgroups Self compacting concrete: Jørn will ask the workgroup leader to report the progress. Eurocodes: questionary results are on the NVF web site. One day meeting in Finland is in plan by the workgroup leader. Structural monitoring: the plans are unchanged and wait for suitable time slots to work to start. Contracting methods: the work has not initiated. Norway, Sweden and Iceland have obviously no persons to actively work with. Olli will check from Matti Piispanen, the Finnish representative and member of marketing and organisation TC, if he sees specific tasks to work on. Otherwise, the workgroup shall be cancelled. Bridge maintenance: the group arranges one meeting annually. The next one is

3 Minutes of meeting 3 (5) Finished workgroups: Corrosion protection. A one day meeting is planned in October The meeting will arranged by Knut Grefstad in Norway. 6. NVF Bridge Conference 2010 All presentations are now agreed expect the BRA s possible lecture. The program draft is translated to English and circulated to three contact persons in BRA. Some changes were made to the draft. The updated draft is as Annex and will be ed to Jørn by Risto. Registration web site will contain all the necessary information. At the NVF web site, only a link to it is needed. Registration web site will be opened within a week. The hotel reservations and their payment are made through the registration. Issues to work with: it shall be checked if other payment option is available than a credit card it shall be checked if at the site, i.e. at the conference, registration is available. In other cases all registrations should be completed a gift for a speaker will be considered registration options should include a speaker / non speaker options to compute the fee of the conference. Other options include a banquet and a technical tour speakers needs to be asked for permission to show their presentation at the NVF web site a person giving the opening welcome should be selected next conference (Copenhagen) will be announced at the closing session by Henrik or Jørn. Once the registration web site is opened, marketing inside national groups and local contacts shall be started by the chairmen and secretaries. 7. Jørn shall contact Otto if he s interesting to contribute. For plenary sessions: Fehmarnbelt fixed link, the bridge between Denmark and German (see above). Highlighting answering to the political decisions and sociological etc. impacts. The annual bridge conferences could be looked to find the most attractive presentations. Speaker proposals shall be submitted to the Chair of the organization committee at autumn Proposals shall be pursued further in upcoming C&S meetings. A stand shall be organized to introduce Bridge TC work. Plan is to have: one poster by the workgroups (Risto, Synnove, Heikki and Olli) one poster per the Nordic Bridge Prize 2012 candidates one general presentation (Risto). Risto will look possibility to include structural monitoring demonstration at the stand. During the conference, the stand will be occupied by the Bridge TC representative. Risto will prepare a template for the posters. The posters are to be printed by the organizers in Iceland. 8. Any other business Anders will contact Martin for uploading Gothenburg conference 2009 material onto the NVF web site. He will also contact Martin for the price of the award plate of previous Nordic Bridge and Tunnel Prize; and possibility to order it and transport it to the Via Nordica Nordic Bridge Prize 2012 stands only for bridges. The prize will be released at the closing session of Via Nordica. It will be introduced by Risto and the laureate will introduce the winning project. The initial proposal is to award a bridge project, which is outstanding and innovative in terms of sustainability and environmental aspects.

Each Nordic country will propose a minimum one project, and the name of the person receiving the possible prize on behalf of the project team. Schedule is C&S meeting 10/2011 Proposals available C&S meeting 2/2012 Selection voting of the nominee. General theme of the annual bridge conference 2011 Denmark was agreed to be Nordic competence on bridges. It will be released at the 2010 Oslo conference together with the date ( ).
