2 GENERAL OVERVIEW INCREDIBOL! L'innovazione creativa di Bologna Incredibol! (Bologna's Creative Innovation) is the reference project for CCIs in Emilia- Romagna Region since 2010, promoted by the Municipality of Bologna and supported by Emilia-Romagna Region. AIM The aim is to support the creative and innovative professions and companies, the socalled CCIs (creative and culture industries) from Emilia-Romagna Region, in particular during their START-UP phase, offering them a combination of tailor-made opportunities provided by Incredibol! partners.

12 WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL WE ARE A PUBLIC - PRIVATE NETWORK OF 23 DIVERSE PARTNERS TO HELP CREATIVE PROFESSIONALS Public administration + training institutions + entrepreneurs + private consultants WE HAVE A STRONG CROSS SECTORAL APPROACH Taking into account economic development / urban regeneration / social innovation / culture / social cohesion / city promotion WE HAVE A 2.0 APPROACH, UNUSUAL FOR THE PUBLIC SECTOR We are 'creative bureaucrats' speaking the same language of our target group WE LIKE TO EXPERIMENT AND COLLABORATE! Spillover projects, new partnerships and special projects...
13 WHAT ELSE WE DO We are taking part in Creative SpIN, an URBACT project aimed at sharing experience in processes and policy actions to support spillover and, as a consequence, innovative forms of entrepreneurship and economic development Concept Creative spillover is a concept referring to the ability of artists, creative professionals and companies to indirectly contribute to innovation processes by generating spillovers that benefit the wider economies (of the places where they are located) Generating creative spillovers is therefore about enabling culture-based creativity to interact with other forms of innovation and processes (which may be scientific, technical or commercial) with a view to break silos between disciplines, thus introducing intuition and imagination in business or organisation processes to innovate
14 WHAT WE CAN RECOMMEND Be realistic in designing new calls, programmes and projects for CCIs: most of them are free-lance workers and micro-enterprises Avoid proliferation of too many similar calls and projects: now that CCIs have become 'trendy', the fragmentation is increasing dramatically Keep always an eye on the real needs of the sector, include creatives in consultations, selections, etc. Help Europe to express its diversity also in CCIs: peculiarities vs. standardisation! Design integrated projects, that combine different funding sources and benefits
