5 Program Work program The cluster Action plan started in Oct/2009 and involves 3 anchor projects and a framework for companies-based projects, named complementary projects; Anchor projects set the fundamental support axis for the development of innovation projects. 5
6 Projects Anchor Projects PA1 Centre for Sustainable Construction Materials Supports actions related to the development of materials, solutions and production technologies, acting as a space for test and validation; PA2 Centre for Sustainable Construction Technologies Supports the use and development of sustainable construction technologies, testing construction elements, dealing with problems and its solutions. PA3 Competence Centre for Habitat Sustainability This project integrates a knowledge and skills network, promotes the dissemination of projects results and is concerned with promoting competitiveness. 6
7 Projects Anchor Projects A Pilot-Group has been set up to help us in the definition and test of the future services of this Competence Centre on Habitat Sustainability; The Pilot-group assembles representatives from the industry, local governments and entities from the scientific and technological system (triple helix) and it comprehends 3 Task-groups that are working on: (a) sustainable communities new practices of urban planning and management, (b) green procurement introducing sustainable construction principles in public funded construction, (c) green economy - competitiveness and internationalization of enterprises operating in sustainable construction products, technologies and services. With international benchmarking we are looking for good practices developed by others which can be used in the benefit of the development of our competence centre. 7
