6 Project Set Up Changes Operating Start Date & End Date Federal Funding Sources changes (Pay for Success, Public and Indian Housing, new VA GPD types) Site Information - Section reworked Zip Code tied to Urban/Rural/Suburban

7 Client Details Gender options relabeled Admission Date renamed Project Start Date and there are new rules about this date Destination & Type of Residence - Addition of RRH Subsidy Head of Household Rule Must be an adult when an adult is present

8 Housing Move In Date Residential Move In Date is now Housing Move In Date and it is now used in ALL Permanent Housing programs Project Start Date = Approval and Ready Housing Move In = Given an Apartment Bed/Unit Assignment will happen at the point of Housing Move In

9 Special Needs The Special Needs section is being revised to remove most of the follow-up questions PATH-only follow-up questions are also being removed The only follow-up question will be Expected long-term duration and impair ability to live independently and that question will still be used to determine Disabling Condition

10 Contacts Contacts can be entered two ways In Street Outreach programs you can use the Encounters module Now, you can also use the Supportive Services Checklist (Contact Logs) HMIS Location of Contact is changed to Staying on Streets, ES, or SH This question will be added to the Supportive Services Checklist by preference

11 Program Specific Elements Non-Cash Benefits Removing Section 8 and Temp Rental Assistance Connection with SOAR Now for PATH and SSVF

12 RHY Elements RHY Referral Source From 37 options to 12 options FYSB Youth reworded Youth Eligible for RHY Services Last Grade Completed Added to Exit also Employment Status Added to Exit also Young Persons Critical Issues renamed Family Critical Issues and has fewer questions

13 RHY Elements (continued) Commercial Sexual Exploitation/Sex Trafficking moved to discharge Labor Exploitation/Trafficking moved to discharge Project Completion Status has fewer options New exit questions called Counseling Transitional, Exit-care or Aftercare Plans and Actions renamed and streamlined New exit survey called Safe and Appropriate Exit

15 MetaData Changes Post Discharge Stage for data collected after discharge Signed Consent will track whether a Client Consent form was filled out by the client or not. E-signature is optional

16 Timeline for Deployment Sunday, October 1st these changes will be live in all databases Friday, September 1st, invitations will be sent to HMIS System Administrators inviting them to a test site where they can beta test the changes Late September a webinar will be offered going over all the changes in detail

18 CSV Changes CSV v2017 specs released June 2017 Implementation Date October 2017 If your database accepts CSV Imports, make sure the importing agencies are ready for the changes SSVF Uploads must be completed by September 30th, Otherwise they will not be accepted until November

20 Coordinated Entry Systems HUD is requiring CES Systems to be implemented in each COC by January 23, 2018 In AWARDS we ve released many new features over the last two years to help you implement Coordinated Entry We have more features coming soon

21 CES Models Here are a few of the models currently being used by clients: Central Point of Access One agency controls a Central Intake program that clients are referred to. Collaborative Central Intake One central intake program that multiple agencies can access. No Wrong Door w/ Waiting Lists
