1 INTRODUCTION: PNC ARTS ALIVE GRANT GUIDELINES: PNC ARTS ALIVE CONNECT For Organizations with an Annual Operating Budget of $50,000-$149,999 Now in its 10 th year, PNC Arts Alive is a multi-million dollar funding initiative of The PNC Foundation designed to support visual and performing arts organizations and make the arts accessible to all audiences. At its core, PNC Arts Alive recognizes the inherent value of a vibrant arts and cultural sector both here in our community and more broadly as a reflection of our shared cultural heritage and individual experiences; a vital pathway for the exploration of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and a significant driver of our regional economy. Since its debut, PNC Arts Alive has provided $10 million in grant funding to support more than 260 art exhibitions, performances, interactive installations, festivals, and pop-up art experiences benefiting hundreds of thousands of individuals. ANNOUNCING A NEW PNC ARTS ALIVE FUNDING INITIATIVE As PNC Arts Alive celebrates its 10 th anniversary, we are pleased to announce a significant expansion of the PNC Arts Alive grant program. PNC Arts Alive CONNECT is a new, 2-year funding initiative designed to support smaller, community-based arts and cultural organizations whose programming directly benefits the neighborhoods in which they operate. As the name implies, PNC Arts Alive CONNECT is meant to connect the vibrant arts organizations in every corner of our region those reflecting the traditions of the community, and the people who live there to new audiences, peer institutions, and the broader region. In this way, it is our hope that PNC Arts Alive and PNC Arts Alive CONNECT will continue to celebrate the full range of our individual and shared experiences. PNC Arts Alive will also continue the work established by our original PNC Arts Alive grant program, and we are pleased, for the very first time, to invite organizations based in Kent and New Castle Counties (Delaware) to apply for either the original PNC Arts Alive grant program or the new PNC Arts Alive CONNECT funding initiative. In addition to direct financial support, all PNC Arts Alive and PNC Arts Alive CONNECT grantees will be eligible to receive capacity-building program support from several PNC Arts Alive Service Partner organizations.
