The Arrows graduated a talented group of seniors but with a strong recruiting class and experienced group of returners, Ursuline hopes to play into November once again. She also had two assists and totaled 12 points while being named to the All-G-MAC Second Team. Redshirt sophomore Allie Moening returns for her second season at Ursuline after scoring four goals in 19 games last season. Despite losing the program s all-time leader in saves Helen Jazzar to graduation, the Arrows defense returns an experienced group. Senior Rachel Strahorn along with juniors Jackie Milosevic and Haley Knox will provide depth for the Arrows. The 2017 season gets started on September 4 at home when the Arrows will host the Uniersity of Maine at Fort Kent before facing new Great Midwest member Lake Erie on Wednesday at home.
4 HEAD COACH jason kubbins Jason Kubbins, the winningest coach in school history, has been in control of the Ursuline soccer program since the fall of With his recruiting efforts and established style of play integrated into the program, Ursuline won a school record 15 matches and the program s first Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship in Kubbins was inducted into the Ursuline College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016 for his career accomplishments thus far. The Arrows have gone since the start of the 2009 season, the year his first recruiting class led the team as seniors. Prior to his arrival, the team was just (.306) all-time. Kubbins earned his 100th career win in 2016 with a 2-1 victory in Nashville against Trevecca Nazarene. During his tenure, Kubbins has produced 30 All-Conference selections (17 First-Team) and has had players win the Player of the Year Award on two different occasions as well as two Freshman of the Year winners. In 2016, the Arrows had four players selected to the All-Ohio teams (three First Team selections) and three selected to the NSCAA All-Midwest Region teams. In each of the last five seasons, his club advanced all the way to the conference final. In 2011, third-seeded Ursuline played for the Ohio Independent Championship and the following year, the Arrows made it all the way to the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship match. In 2013, UC was seeded fourth and knocked off regular season champion Cedarville University in the conference semifinals before losing the title match to Davis & Elkins College in overtime. In 2014, the Arrows went 8-2 in conference play during the regular season to win the title outright and then defeated Trevecca Univeristy by a score of 2-1 in the title bout. The 2014 team ranked seventh in the country in scoring offense (2.79 goals per game) and 20th in goals against average (0.59). His peers have taken notice of his success in Pepper Pike. He split the 2014 G-MAC Coach of the Year award with Trevecca s Mark Foster. Prior to that, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) named Kubbins the runner-up NCAA Division II Ohio Coach of the Year in That same year, his student-athletes cleaned up the postseason awards, including four NCAA Division II All-Ohio honorees. The Arrows put the maximum six players on the All-OIC team, including three first team selections. Ursuline cleaned up awards in Vanessa Consiglio was selected as the recipient of the Academic All-America of the Year award for Division II women s soccer and was also named the G-MAC s Offensive Player of the Year. Daktronics Inc. named Consiglio, Cassie Cripe, Brittany Prato and Paige Rowan to its all-region second team and that quartet earned first team all-conference honors alongside Feitl and goalkeeper Helen Jazzar. Six of his players earned All-Ohio honors in Kubbins played collegiate soccer at Walsh University and was the team s starting goalkeeper for three seasons. While a Cavalier, Kubbins earned first team All-Ohio and second team All-American Mideast Conference honors his junior year. During his senior year, he achieved honorable mention All-American Mideast Conference status. Kubbins led a Walsh defense that was consistently among the top-20 in goals against average in the NAIA. 5 assistant coach jamie green Jamie Green became an assistant soccer coach at Ursuline College prior to the 2011 season. She assists head coach Jason Kubbins with day-to-day operations and handles many of the logistics of the program in addition to her on-field coaching duties. Since Green came to Pepper Pike, the Arrows have gone and played for the conference postseason title every year before winning the program s first Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship in She has coached 30 student-athletes who have earned either first or second team all-conference honors in the past three seasons and has been instrumental in recruiting/developing UC s nine all-region performers over the past few years. A 2011 graduate of the University of Mount Union, Green appeared in 54 matches (31 starts) for the Purple Raiders and recorded an assist. Since transitioning to coaching, she has attended numerous coaching clinics and assisted Kubbins with every facet of the program including strategy, practice planning, recruiting and film study. Green was a Dean s List student and a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association s official honor society at four-year colleges and universities. She was also the recipient of the Doyle-Montagno Prize (significant achievement in academic performance) during her junior year. She was recognized as Who s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Green who earned a Master s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in May of is a 2007 graduate of Padua Franciscan High School and currently resides in Pepper Pike.

She plans to major in Physical Therapy starting in the fall at Ursuline. #21 bella campanile freshman mississauga, ontario Campanile attended St. Joan of Arc Secondary Catholic School where she played for head coach Anthony Caccicarro as a midfielder and center back. In 2015 and 2016, they were finalists for the Peel Halton District Finals. Campanile was named the Most Valuable Player in and She played club for head coach John Williams and GS United where they advanced to nationals twice and were awarded a bronze medal for their performance. Campanile intends on studying Law at Ursuline starting this fall.
12 meet the team #28 Gina cerny freshman rochester, mi. Cerny attended Stoney Creek High School where she played four years of varsity soccer as a goalkeeper for head coach Bryan Mittelstadt. As a junior, her team finished and won the League, District, Regional and State Championships. Prior to that year, as a sophomore they went and were during her freshman season. As a sophomore, Cerny was an All-District selection and as a junior she picked up All-League, All-District, All-County and All-Region Honors as well as being named Second Team All-State. Cerny played her club soccer for MI Hawks East under head coach Paul Kastens for two years also as a goalkeeper. Academically, she has been a Scholar Athlete all four years and a member of the National Honor Society URSULINE ARROWS Soccer #22 jarah frohlich freshman ortenberg, germany Fröhlich attended Wolfgang-Ernst-Gymnasium high school in Germany and played club for SV Phönix Düdelsheim for the last six years for head coach Patrick Falk. She played primarily as a midfielder on a squad that won the 2015 Regional Cup as well as the 2015 Quarterfinal Hessen Cup. Her club team was also the Regional Cup winner in 2010 and Also in 2014, they won the Brabant Girls Cup Netherlands. Fröhlich intends to major in Public Relations and Marketing Communications at Ursuline this fall. Cerny intends to major in Special Education at Ursuline this fall. #15 sinead kappel freshman ajxax, ontario Kappel attended Pickering High School where she played four years of varsity soccer as a defender. She played club for Ajax FC under head coach Alex Bianchi for 13 years and was a 2016 Ontario Cup Semi-Finalist. Also in 2016, they finished in third place in the Ontario Youth Soccer League. Kappel also competed on the 2016 UEFA U19 Northern Ireland National Team. Her high school team advanced to the LOSSA Finals in both 2014 & Kappel intends to major in Business & Sport Management with a minor in Law at Ursuline.
13 meet the team #5 jenna landrus freshman thompson, oh. Landrus attended Berkshire High School in Burton, Ohio where she played two years of varsity soccer as a forward/midfielder for head coach Rick Nerone. In 2016, they had a school record 10 wins and posted a school record 10 shutouts. Previously in 2015, they won nine games which was also a school record. Landrus was named All-Conference Second Team in 2016 after being an Honorable Mention selection in She was also selected All-Greater Cleveland Honorable Mention in 2016 and the Team MVP. She played club for Spire for one season under head coach Pat Landrus. #7 kara martin freshman hazel park, mi. Martin played four years of varsity soccer for head coach Denis Dixon at Hazel Park High School as a Center Midfielder. In 2014, they won the District Championship with a record of and Martin picked up All District Best Player honors. She earned All District honors from and was a First All-Region Selection in In she was an All-State Honorable Mention selection. She played one year of club with the Nationals Union 98 after previously playing for Vardar ECNL. Academically, she was a Scholar Athlete in soccer and volleyball and was on the Honor Roll for the school year. #0 allie mysliwiec freshman brunswick, oh. Mysliwiec played four years of soccer at Brunswick High School where she played goalkeeper for the Blue Devils and head coach Scott Ward. Her 2016 squad captured the District Championship and advanced to the Regional Finals in the OHSAA Tournament. In 2015, the Blue Devils were a District Finalist. This past season she posted 11 shutouts and picked up two PK saves against Medina in a shootout in the District Finals. 14 meet the team #2 Kaitlin roemer freshman elyria, oh. Roemer played four years of soccer as a defender for head coach Abbey Golden and the Middies. Last season, Midview finished after going during the previous season. Roemer played club for the West Side Stars and head coach Mike Besu for seven years. Academically, she earned the Academic M award for having a 3.5 or higher GPA during her entire high school career. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and received an All-Ohio Academic Award. Roemer will major in Nursing. #20 maggie wilson freshman wooster, oh. Wilson played four years of soccer at Triway High School for head coach Scot Clapp as a right or left back. She earned a letter all four years of her high school career and in 2016 picked up the Most Improved Award. In 2015, she was named Defensive Player of the Year Honorable Mention. Wilson will major in Art Therapy.
