1 72 Lacrosse 2001 Championship Highlights Photo by Larry French/NCAA Photos B.J. Prager of Princeton scored the winning goal in the championship game and was selected most outstanding player. Tigers in OT Again: Princeton claimed its fifth championship, the fourth in overtime, defeating defending champion Syracuse, The victory was the 11th straight for Princeton in one-goal games, including all three of its tournament games. Most outstanding player B.J. Prager scored the game-winner, his fourth tally of the day, with 41 seconds left in the fiveminute sudden-victory period. All-Tournament Team: Prager was joined by teammates Ryan Mollett, Trevor Tierney, Matt Striebel and Sean Hartofilis. Syracuse was represented by Michael Springer, who scored six goals in the Orangemen s semifinal win over Towson; Michael Powell; Rob Mulligan; and John Glatzel.
