3 ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Moscow Pre-Finals ACM ICPC Workshop 2018 is held by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and ITMO University at MIPT campus in Dolgoprudny, Russia. The purpose of e workshop is to provide quality training opportunities for competitive programming teams in order to better prepare for ACM ICPC World Finals 2018 and high-level contests of e next season. The official language of e workshop is English. Teams are allowed to choose between two training programs («divisions»). Division A, aimed at finalists and experienced teams, will have general ACM-style contests exclusively. Division B will have ree educational «blocks» focused on a certain topic, wi a lecture and a fullscale contest each, and four contests shared wi Div. A. In addition to e educational program, students will be able to take part in sports and entertainment activities and get a chance to go on a sightseeing tour and to visit leading Russian IT companies. Accommodation at MIPT campus and meals ree times a day are provided to all participants. Welcome!
4 INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS 1. You must have your badge wi you at all times. You will be required to show your badge in order to enter academic facilities and e dormitory. 2. Div. A competition area is located in e Reading Hall on e second floor of e Main Building. For Div B it will be held in room 107 of e Biobuilding. Upsolving for bo divisions will be held on all days om 17:00 to 22: The dormitory is open for entrance and exit om 6am to 1am. 4. Smoking is prohibited: in academic buildings and e nearby territory in e dormitory and wiin 5 meters om it 5. Wi-Fi Internet access is provided in e dormitory, your login and password will be given to you at e registration. 6. In order to visit e gym, clean sports shoes are required. 7. In order to visit e swimming pool, it is necessary to have a soap, a wisp, a swimsuit, a swimming cap and a medical certificate.
5 8. Meals are provided to participants at e MIPT Canteen (turn to e left, en go up to e ird floor). 9. Starting om March 23, on ee time you will be able to engage in e following activities: Upsolving: at e Reading Hall and at e Biobuilding. Playroom (37 in e dormitory) wi our volunteers, board games, tea and cookies. Every day after dinner. Gym: open everyday, meeting on e first floor of e dormitory at 20:45. Swimming pool: open on weekdays, meeting on e first floor of e dormitory at 21:10. Billiards: a table can be booked a day before visiting via e Google Form, meeting on e first floor of e dormitory at 20:45. Every day except Monday and Tuesday. For each type of activities please sign up for it via e Google Form goo.gl/nkp5e6 or ask volunteers to sign you up. 6 MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION Each distributed laptop will have two operating systems available for selection: World Finals Image (Ubuntu) Windows 7 (only for Division B teams) You may download contest materials after e beginning of a contest (pdf statements only). They can be downloaded by pressing e marked button: The contest materials will be updated each day at 23:00 wi contest analyses and lectures (if any present).
