1 2012 OHIO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT Media Guide March 1, 2 and 3 Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center The Ohio State University, Columbus

2 OHIO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION 4080 Roselea Place, Columbus, OH Phone Fax Welcome to the 2012 State Wrestling Championships A great deal of information both in the official program and in this media guide is available to each of you covering the tournament. Besides the charts that are in this guide, there are two other main sources of information available for your use. At last weekend s District competition, each state qualifier was given a media form to fill out. While not all were returned, a vast majority were. A sample of the form is enclosed in this packet. Should you need to use these forms, please contact one of the OHSAA representatives along media row. The other item is the list of every state placer from (please note that there are two lists). The first covers the years and the second covers The results are included in this guide. It is categorized by school, then place, year and finally by wrestler s last name. There are still some bugs in the list. In the early years, some first names were not known and some last names may appear with different spellings. Question marks point out an obvious discrepancy. Note that wrestlers are listed by the school name at the time they attended (i.e. Kettering Fairmont East/West). However, if the school changed mailing addresses (i.e. Dayton Wayne to Huber Heights Wayne) then the school is listed by its new location. Schools that have added to their name, because of an additional school being built (i.e. Pickerington Central/North) are listed according to what the school is currently called.
