During this session, we will discuss both programs and provide a forum for interactive discussion and updates. Topics will range from the history of the organizations to roadside enforcement of both IFTA and IRP. Come ready to share your questions, comments, suggestions and feedback. 9:30 a.m.-noon FMCSA Listening Session Highly Automated Commercial Vehicles Regency Ballroom, Ballroom Level During this public listening session, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will solicit comments and information on issues related to the design, development, testing and deployment of highly automated commercial vehicles (HACVs); specifically, the application of the following regulatory provisions in title 49 CFR: part 383 (commercial driver s licenses), part 391 (qualification of drivers), sections and (use of electronic devices), part 395 (drivers hours of service), and part 396 (inspection, repair and maintenance). The agency requests comments, views, data and analysis on how enforcement officials could identify CMVs capable of various levels of automated operation and the types of HACV equipment that can be effectively inspected. 19 Travel Information Hotel Accommodations Hyatt Regency Atlanta 265 Peachtree Street, NE Atlanta, GA Check-in: 3 p.m. Check-out: Noon The Hyatt Regency Atlanta offers accommodations at the rate of $169 for a single/double bed per night, plus 16 percent state and local taxes. Hotel accommodations are based strictly on a first come, first served basis, and may sell out at any time. Your room reservation must be made online on or before Friday, March 31, On Saturday, April 1, 2017, all rooms not reserved will be released for sale to the general public. Parking Hotel valet parking (based on availability) allows guests to have their vehicle parked in the hotel s surveillanced, underground parking garage. Valet parking provides guests with in/out privileges. Airport and Transportation The Hyatt Regency Atlanta hotel is located 12 miles from the Hartsfield- Jackson International Airport. Taxi Service To/from airport fee: $30 plus $2 per each additional person and a $1.50 flat drop fee. M.A.R.T.A. The Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (M.A.R.T.A.) is available from the airport to the hotel for $2.50 per ride plus $1 for a Breeze Card to gain train access. The rail system runs approximately every 10 minutes. The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is connected to Peachtree Center Train Station via Peachtree Center Mall and is a 20-minute ride from the airport. At the airport, proceed to the airport pickup at baggage claim, TH Terminal. Take the M.A.R.T.A. northbound to the Peachtree Center Station stop. Exit the train and take the escalator up toward Peachtree Center Mall. Once inside the mall, follow the signs to the covered walkway into the hotel. Guests may self-park at off-property locations, such as 31 Baker St. This covered garage is one block from the hotel and is available at a discounted rate for Hyatt guests.
