3 Methods The Indicators of Integration used for this were found defined in the Indicators of Integration Final Report from the Home Office Development Practice Report (Ager & Strang, 4).

4 Agencies were identified on the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) website Each state has a page that page lists the reported voluntary agency affiliates for that state Each agency was either linked to or googled to find the services offered The agency websites were looked through for services offered that matched one of the framework bubbles A google search refugee service (state name) was used to identify additional resources

6 These areas represent the critical factors in the integration process. The website often directly stated it offered these services. These areas are considered means markers because success is an indication of positive integration outcomes, assists with the wider integration process.

10 Language Cultural These areas represent the key facilitating factors for the integration process. Broader cultural knowledge than just English Language proficiency is important to integration. This includes knowledge of local national procedures, customs facilities, non-refugee knowledge of circumstances. Language services were often stated directly as being offered on websites, where safety stability required matching the description from the report. Part of the wider integration process includes safety stability which refers to the issue of continuity a sense of permanence. This is an important factor in helping people begin establishing relationships.

12 This area is the basis for expectations obligations of the integration process. This involves discussions around current policy developments in the area of citizenship education rights for refugees. This identifies how the ideas of citizenship rights impacts integration.

70 The states with a above maybe included in an Other category, in the ORR report. This represents a combination of states with refugee arrivals of below 5. There were not individual number for those specific states.

73 Limitations There were three data abstractors on this project, categorizing social bonds, social bridges, social links, safety stability were not clearly listed on most of the organizations websites; this may have led to variation in identifying the services by category for each state. With all of the information being obtained through websites, there are most likely services that were missed. Many of the agencies listed are resettlement agencies resettlement agencies typically offer similar services however, if the organization s website did not specifically list the service, there is no way to prove that they provide that service.
