2 Annual Convention The Alabama Propane Gas Association is holding it's 63rd Annual Convention July 11-13, 2013 at The Grand Hotel at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin, FL. The Convention Committee, chaired by Andy Wise, is continuing to use the agenda which has been favored the past several years.. The convention will start the evening of Thursday, July 11th with the Welcome Reception sponsored by the APGA Supplier Fund. After the reception, you will have plenty of time to enjoy The Village restaurants and nightlife. Friday, July 12th, will start with the Suppliers meeting followed by the APGA Annual Board of Directors/Membership meeting then NPGA and PERC presentations. The Family Luncheon will start at 1130 a.m. We will have Coach Roger Dutremble as the guest speaker. The rest of Friday afternoon is up to you! We will end Friday with an Ice Cream Social and Reverse Raffle. All registrations include one Raffle Ticket per person...additional raffle tickets can be purchased on the registration form. This event will raise funds for our Scholarship program. You are encouraged to bring your children free of cost. Saturday, July 13th will begin with a Fishing Trip. We hope the weather is a lot better than last year...be courageous and join in!! The Golf Scramble will be at the Baylowne Course on property. To wrap up the convention, join us Saturday evening aboard the SunQuest Dinner Cruise for a wonderful time of food, fun and fellowship...and a little dancing! The APGA Annual Convention has always been a family friendly event. I encourage you to bring your family and meet up with old industry friends and new ones as well. Bill Montgomery, APGA President FAMILY LUNCHEON with Guest Speaker Coach Roger Dutremble Friday, July 12th, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. APGA is pleased to invite you and your family to the Family Luncheon on Friday, July 11th. We have set this time aside for everyone to come together for a special presentation by Coach Roger Dutremble. Take a man s passion, match it with his practice, and you will find God s purpose. Only as God can do, He took an ordinary man and asked him to do extraordinary things. This coach will touch the lives of those he encounters using the gift of sports to embrace their cultural and spiritual needs. His transparency will ring true with people of all ages, as he shares his story of hope and possibilities. His travels have brought him up close and personal with presidents, ambassadors, dignitaries, and nonathletic emissaries. This international basketball Hall of Fame coach s career includes coaching at every level from high school to the NBA, and into international arenas, with a lifetime coaching record of and seven national championships. He was selected Coach of the Year six times, and served as national team head coach to Belgium, Scotland, and Jordan.

3 Deep Sea Fishing Chairman: Vernon Chavers On Saturday, July 13th at 6:00 a.m., we have lined up a 6 hour deep sea fishing trip aboard the "." The cost is $165 per person (fish cleaning and tip are included). The boat is located at. You will be responsible for your food and beverages. IF WE DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE REGISTERED BY JUNE 1st, the trip will be canceled and all money will be refunded. Golf Scramble Chairman: Jason Gamble On Saturday, July 13th at 8:00 a.m., APGA will hold its Golf SCRAMBLE at Baytown Course on property. The $110 fee includes green fee, cart rental, 2 drink tickets and prizes. Note that the first tee time is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Jason will have a list of teams available at the Welcome Reception on July 11th. ICE CREAM SOCIAL & REVERSE RAFFLE AN TO SUPPORT THE APGA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Friday, July 12th Someone WILL leave with $1,000 CASH $50.00 per ticket Throughout the drawing, winners will be: 1st Ticket... $50 25th Ticket... $75 50th Ticket... $100 75th Ticket... $125 Last Ticket... $1,000 Each registration includes one raffle ticket per person. However, you are encouraged to purchase more on your registration form. Come enjoy an evening full of excitement...eat plain ice cream or create a master piece with fun toppings while listening for your raffle ticket to be drawn to win. The funds raised support the "Don Haden Scholarship" and the "David Reaves Scholarship". Both scholarships provide $3,500 to deserving employees or children of employees within the propane industry. SunQuest Dinner Cruise Saturday, July 13th Since we are back in Sandestin this year, we are excited to announce that we will have our Saturday event on the SunQuest Dinner Cruise!! As in years past, APGA has reserved the 1st deck dining room with panoramic windows exclusively for our members. You will also enjoy access to all three decks of the ship. The 2nd floor contains a full bar in a climate controlled setting and a covered outside patio area. The Sky deck is an openair deck with uninhibited views. Enjoy the one man band with dancing on all decks. Children have a great time so make sure you get their tickets as well. Due to maximum load requirements, APGA is only allocated 100 seats...additional seats available only if 2nd deck does not sell out. The SunQuest Cruise Ship is located at Baytowne Marina which is a short walk from the Village at Baytowne Wharf...women beware of heeled shoes on the pier. We need to be on the boat by 5:45 p.m...departs right at 6:00 p.m.
