10 RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT Mary was born in the small town of Burlington, WA, about 66 miles north of Seattle. She lived there until the Japanese were moved to internment camps in Mary met her husband Gary at the camp and were married in 1943 or They were married for over 70 years! Mary and Gary enjoyed playing golf together and lived in Utah for many years. After her husband passed away Mary moved to California to be close to her brother. Mary still speaks a little Japanese and would enjoy playing card games, going on outings, and bird watching with other residents.
