Please make note of the clarifications and information and prepare your response to include these changes. 3 ADDENDUM NO. 002 FEBRUARY 28, 2019 HVAC RENOVATION CRESTWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL BID NUMBER Addendum is prepared by: Bowman Foster & Associates The following additions and / or modifications are incorporated within the Contract documents. An acknowledgment of receipt of this Addendum shall be noted on the Bid form submitted. Pre Bid Meeting Minutes: Included in and attached to this Addendum are pre bid meeting minutes that were held at the site on February 25, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. and are hereby made part of the Contract Documents. Pre Bid Presentation: The project was discussed in detail and the drawings were reviewed by all parties involved. Project Clarifications: 1. The existing roof warranty is help by Suprema. 2. The existing control system is a TRANE control system. Site walk Questions: 1. During the site wale it was discussed where to tie into the gas line. 2. The contractors asked if Trane will be able to provide proper size roof curb. PAGE 1 OF 2

Revised sequence of control and the points list for the air handling units on sheet M 701. A note was added to indicate only Trane equipment was to be used on the project. 2. Revise the controls diagram on sheet M 702 to match the sequence of control and the pints list. Project Manual Changes: 1. The dates and times for the pre bid site meeting and bid opening were changed in specification Specification section Packaged rooftop units had been added to the specification. 5 HVAC RENOVATION - CRESTWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA SECTION ADVERTISMENT/INVITATION TO BID BID NUMBER: BID TITLE: HVAC RENOVATION CRESTWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL Chesapeake, Virginia Bids are invited by Chesapeake Public Schools, Chesapeake, Virginia (owner) in accordance with the following: BID DESCRIPTION: Crestwood Middle School is an existing two-story, 83,203 square foot building. The project consists of removal of existing package roof top units that serve the Auditorium. The existing roof curbs shall remain. Provide two package roof top units (DX) with hot gas reheat. The units will utilize the existing gas piping already in place. The new units shall be provided with roof curb adapters. The smoke duct detectors shall be tested to ensure proper operation. The Auditorium shall be provided with new smoke duct detector key switches. The space shall also be provided with CO2 sensors. Provide new controls and connect to existing building automation systems. Only TRANE equipment will be allowed on the project. To ensure the work can be Substantially Completed by Monday, September 30, 2019, the submittals shall be received by the Architect / Engineer within ten (10) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. The submittals will be reviewed and comments returned to the Contractor within five (5) calendar days to minimize negative impact of the construction schedule. BID TIME AND PLACE: Sealed bids in duplicate will be received by Michele Zimbro, Buyer, Purchasing Department, Chesapeake Public Schools until 3:00 p.m. local prevailing time on Friday, March 8, 2019, at the School Administration Building, Purchasing Department, 312 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Virginia ABSOLUTELY NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE ABOVE LISTED HOUR. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:05 p.m. in the School Administration Building. Anyone interested in attending this opening will be welcome. It is requested all attending be on time. BID WITHDRAWAL OR REJECTION: Chesapeake Public Schools reserves the right to cancel the bid opening or to reject any or all bids in whole or part when it is in the best interest of Chesapeake Public Schools. The right to waive any and all informalities and to determine responsibility of all bidders is reserved to Chesapeake Public Schools. The Owner reserves the right to negotiate any aspect of this bid with the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. No bid or any part thereof may be withdrawn or canceled or modified for 90 days after the bid opening, with the exception that bids may be withdrawn after opening in accordance with the procedures for Withdrawal of Bids in accordance with Section of the Code of Virginia. Prior to the time and date designated for receipt of Bids, Bids submitted early may be modified or withdrawn only by notice to the party receiving Bids at the place and prior to the time designated for receipt of Bids. Such notice shall be in writing over the signature of the Bidder, or on official company letterhead, signed by an authorized agent, and must have been mailed and postmarked on or before the date and time set for receipt of Bids. It shall be so worded as not to reveal the amount of the original Bid. BID SECURITY: A bidder's bond or certified check will be required in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid ADVERTISEMENT / INVITATION TO BID

6 HVAC RENOVATION - CRESTWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL CHESAPEAKE, VIRGINIA EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS: Documents will be available on the Chesapeake Public Schools Purchasing and DemandStar websites on Friday, February 15, One (1) set of Documents will also be available for review at the Purchasing Office of Chesapeake Public Schools, School Administration Building, 312 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Virginia, CONTRACTORS REGISTRATION: Bidders attention is invited to the requirements of Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia pertaining to registration. The Commonwealth of Virginia Contractor Registration Class and Number are required on the bid envelope. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019, at Crestwood Middle School, Chesapeake, Virginia All vendors visiting a Chesapeake Public Schools facility must check in at the Main Office.
