See Inside Adjutant Report 2 Upcoming Events 2 Road Cleanup 3 Betsy Estilow currently serves as the president of the Board of Directors of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and has been a museum docent and respected lecturer since the Museum s founding. She is one of the co-founders of the Conference on Women and the Civil War and has served as president of the Historical Society of Frederick County. Estilow currently serves as Professor of Biology and Adjunct Instructor in Civil War History at Hood College in Frederick, Md. She received a BS degree in biology from Albright College and a certification in medical technology from the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. After completing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Microbiology at West Virginia University, Estilow became the director of the microbiology laboratory at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md. In 1975, she joined the faculty at Hood College where she has taught a wide variety of courses ranging from introductory biology to biology of aging to pathogenic microbiology. Estilow developed and taught a weeklong course on Civil War History for Hood Elderhostel titled, In the Footsteps of the Blue and Gray. She is the recipient of the Mortar Board Excellence in Teaching Award, an award given by the students at Hood College.

William Norris Camp #1398 July 5, 2016, monthly meeting minutes Commander Frank Brown called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Members present were: Commander Brown, Bob Jones, Bob Brewer, Dave Redden, Steve Fernandez, Harold Ford, Dave King, James Perry, Wesley Sullivan, Richard League, Bruce Funk, Lawrence Marsh and Michael Bertocchi. The guest speaker was Joe Scopin. Guests were Matt King and Katie Brewer. The invocation was given by Bob Brewer. Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and the Salute to The Confederate Flag was led by Commander Brown. Charge to the was read by Commander Brown. Topics discussed were the River Crossing and upcoming dues. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Frank Brown, Commander Road Cleanup Saturday, Aug. 6, 9 a.m. Please meet at the entrance to Dickerson Regional Park.
