This opportunity is designed to be flexible and creative. They are looking for innovative and thoughtful projects that inspire young people and communities in the U.S. to act and make global connections. World Connect will accept applications for grants up to $1,000* on a rolling basis through Monday, July 31, 2017. They will review, provide feedback, and make a final decision on your application within one month. Application and More Information Upcoming Events NBIB Hiring Event July 11, 2017 The National Background Investigations Bureau is currently hiring and anticipate 10+ vacancies in Miami, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Tampa, Panama City, southern Mississippi and Louisiana within the next few months. See if working for NBIB would be a good fit for you by attending their hiring event. You'll be able to talk to recruiters and learn more about career opportunities for applicants with Non- Competitive Eligibility (NCE). July 30, 2017 Meet us at Marlins Park to see the Miami Marlins take on the Cincinnati Reds. The game is on Sunday, June 30 th at 1:10 p.m. Get a great seat, a hot dog, and a drink...all for $28.50. RSVP Email Willie Save the Date: Annual Retreat September 8 10, 2017 On Friday, September 8 th, RPCVSF will host our annual members retreat a relaxing weekend in Key Largo for RPCVs. Last year more than 70 RPCVs and their families and friends enjoyed a great weekend together, and we hope you ll join us this year. We ll be staying at Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort, a low-key waterfront location with a small beach, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, and SCUBA diving available. Reservations can be made directly with the resort by calling (305) 451-3595 or online. Be sure to tell them you are with the Peace Corps Volunteers group for a discount on the room rate. Kids are very welcome; last year we had more than a dozen kids of all ages. There will be food, stories, snorkeling, and more. We bring all the food for Saturday s breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus snacks and drinks in the afternoon. We ask that you contribute $15 per person for food for the weekend. RPCVSF will be recognizing South Florida teachers who incorporate Service-Learning into
