Overview Chronic headaches affect more than forty-five million people in the United States alone, making it one of the most common and most challenging ailments busy primary care physicians must diagnose and effectively treat. s Headache symposium is designed specifically for the busy primary care practitioner and will provide a comprehensive update of current advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from headaches. Recognize underlying headache co-morbidities including sleep dysfunction, depression and medication interactions. Use appropriate exams to identify secondary headache. Implement treatment protocols, including abortive medications, prophylactic medications, and integrative medicine treatments in an office based practice. Integrate injectable treatments for the office based treatment of acute head pain. Develop a referral protocol to a neurologist or pain specialist. Demonstrate increased efficiency in the management of headache patients in the office practice. After this date, registrations will only be accepted on-site and will incur an additional $25 fee. Policy on Guest Attendance All conference activities (including educational sessions, exhibit halls, meal functions, receptions, etc.) are exclusively reserved for paid conference attendees only. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced. Guest attendance to meal functions is not permitted. Refund, Substitution and Cancellation and Policy The course tuition is refundable, minus a $75 processing fee, if your cancellation is received in writing no later than Friday, February 19, 2010. Attendee substitutions are allowed, but notification must be made in writing by February 19, 2010. After this date, under no circumstances will refunds, credits, or substitutions be granted. No refunds or credits will be given to no shows. Scripps reserves the right to cancel this conference, in which case a full refund of your registration fee will be provided.
