WELCOME HOME WARRIORS! From Orientation and move-in day to graduation day and every day in between, students will experience an unparalleled sense of belonging, community, and camaraderie at Merrimack College a shared belief that we re all in this together and capable of extraordinary things. FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2018 Merrimack College offices will be open today from 8:30am 4:30pm. 7:30am 3:00pm Resident Move-In Various Campus Locations Students will complete the check in process, get their room key and get settled prior to the start of the program. 7:30am 3:30pm ID Photos St. Thomas Community Room, Apartment Tower C Students who have not received their Mack Card ID should have their identification photo taken during this time. 9:30am 3:30pm ipad Pick-Up Information Technology Office, McQuade Library 2nd Floor Students who have not yet received their ipad may do so during this time. Please bring a completed Computer User Agreement. Students under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature to pick up their ipad. Merrimack Legacies Welcome Blue Line Club, Merrimack Athletics Complex We honor incoming Legacy students carrying on a proud family tradition of education at Merrimack College, which includes those having a grandparent, parent, or sibling that has graduated from or is currently attending Merrimack College. RSVP to the Alumni Office is required. Opening Address* Join us for the official Opening Address of the September Orientation program. Following the Opening Address, students will say goodbye to their families and begin their Orientation events. Orientation Kick-Off* Multi-purpose Room, Sakowich Campus In this highly engaging and fun session, students will gain an immediate understanding and desire to get more involved on campus and take advantage of the opportunities Merrimack offers beyond the classroom. Dinner with your Group Begin using your MackCard tonight for dinner in Sparky s! Students will receive an email from their Orientation Leader with a meeting location. Dean s Forum Dinner Crowe Classrooms Students involved in the Dean s Forum will have dinner at this time. Students will receive an email with details. 7:00pm Comedian Eric O Shea Come see one of the most popular college comedians, Eric O Shea, perform for a night of laughter. 8:30 9:00pm Commuter Student Meeting* Cascia Commuter students will discuss their experiences of living off campus and opportunities available to all students. 3

Sessions will cover Academically Surviving and Thriving at Merrimack, a McQuade Libary tour, completing of the Strengthsfinder Assessment (required for FYE courses), and lunch. Hamel Health Session and Rogers for the Arts Representatives from Hamel Health will review the services they offer and resources available to students. Groups 1 15: Groups 16 28: Rogers for the Arts #MackActs Part II* and Rogers for the Arts Learn about Merrimack s commitment to reduce violence on campus through enabling active bystanders and implementing the nationally recognized Green Dot initiative. Groups will remain in their current location. IT Tips and Tricks Representatives from IT will discuss tips and tricks for internet usage on campus. Dinner with your Group Meet your CA: Commuter Advisor* Commuter Students will meet with their Commuter Advisor, mingle with other Commuter Students, and learn about resources and upcoming programs. 5
