They both understand the importance of continuing education in order to stay up to date with best practices. Sue especially feels the need to give back to the NTSICU nurses at Enloe Medical Center as she was the nurse manager of this unit for three years and was impressed with the compassion and clinical expertise of this group of professionals. This scholarship is to financially support nurses who wish to attend a continuing education seminar or conference to update their knowledge and then bring this knowledge back to the unit where they work. Fund Allocation Two (2) one thousand dollar ($1,000) scholarships may be distributed once a year from the Herb and Sue Henderson Continuing Nursing Education Scholarship. Allocation is to be used to defer costs associated with attending a national nursing continuing education conference. Eligibility Applicants must be current full-time or part-time nurses employed in the NTSICU for at least one year in good standing (no written counselings or suspensions in the past 12 months).
