The CELTSS cmmittee makes recmmendatins t the VPAA, wh then fficially ntifies recipients and awards funds. Wh may apply? All tenured, tenure-track, and full-time temprary Faculty and Librarians wh were under cntract as f September 1 f the current year may apply fr funding. Wh cnsiders the applicatin? A Funding Subcmmittee cmprised f five members f the Steering Cmmittee f CELTSS wrks with the CELTSS Directr t review the applicatins. The Directr reprts recmmendatins fr funding t the Steering Cmmittee. The CELTSS Directr sends recmmendatins fr funding t the Vice President fr Academic Affairs fr apprval. Where are the applicatin frms? Applicatins are available nline at https://www.framingham.edu/the-fsu-difference/centers-andinstitutes/celtss/celtss-funding/index. Applicatins fr funding are accepted three times a year with deadlines annunced at the beginning f the academic year. In any year when substantial budgeted funds remain after Rund 3 f funding recmmendatins is cmpleted, the Funding Subcmmittee will add a Rund 4 f funding. Faculty will be invited t apply fr grants supprting research and travel t present research, including presentatin at cnferences in July and August. The deadline fr applicatin will be mid-may and the faculty member will be ntified befre the end f May. Hw are the applicatin frms submitted t CELTSS? Fr AY 2016-2017, applicatins fr curse releases are due September 9. Applicatins fr all ther funding are due Octber 7, Nvember 10, and March 3. They will need a cpy f yur award letter frm the Vice President t prcess CELTSS funds.
Yu can be reimbursed by submitting apprpriate travel request frms befre traveling and then submitting yur request fr reimbursement after travel is cmpleted. All receipts and dcumentatin fllw the standard state guidelines. All requests fr reimbursement fr research expenses are submitted using the reimbursement frm btained frm building secretaries. Purchasing f equipment must als fllw state guidelines and the equipment becmes the prperty f the University. Tagging f equipment fllws the standard university plicy. Please check with chairs and secretaries fr plicies regarding purchases. $500 stipends will be awarded at the cmpletin f the grant-writing prcess r the in-service presentatin.
