ICC 2 1.4 Adoption of the Agenda: Sociology Club moved to adopt the agenda, BSU seconded, motion passed unanimously. 1.5 Approval of the Minutes: There was no objection to approving November 2, 2015 and November 16, 2015. II. PUBLIC FORUM AVC Veterans Club wants to collaborate with ICC and ASO to fix up the area that looks rusty near the airplane. They requested that this item be placed on the next agenda. Sociology Club discussed back in October about having a group rummage sale for the clubs to be involved in the Spring. They would like to set up a community cash box. Every club would have their own table and bring items to the rummage sale. Funds would be split between the participants groups. They were thinking of having it in the Fine Arts Quad and publicizing the event with AV Press and the radio. III. IV. Motion Passed unanimously CNSA moved to approve Meet and Greet for incoming CSNA students [APPROVED] When: January 28 and February 3, 2016 Time: 4:45 pm-6:45 pm Location: Nursing Lab in Health and Sciences Building Anthropology Club seconded. Motion Passed unanimously Black Student Union moved to approve Fashion Show titled: Message in a Garment [APPROVED] When: February 13, 2016 Time: 2-5 pm Location: Performing Arts Theater Promotion of Message in a Garment When: February 8 th -12 th Time: 11-2 pm Location: Library AVC Veterans Club seconded. Motion Passed unanimously Skills USA ICC approved travel to Los Angeles Trade Tech event occurring in January. The trip request is pending Board of Trustees approval. Board of Trustees meeting is January 11, 2016. Skills needs to show in their minutes that everyone who plans on going the Skills competition has agreed to drive to the event separately rather than as a whole group. The club requests to have back the driver form. Nancy advised the form can be picked up in the SSV 180 office.
ICC 4 IV. NEW BUSINESS 4.1 Kahoot The ICC played a learning game called Kahoot to the members of the proper procedures and requirements of ICC Constitution and Bylaws. The top winners where Bessie from Fashion & Costume Society, Dr. Zimmerman and Philana Walker from Skills USA. 4.2 Event Committee The Club Rush Committee met. They decided on a carnival theme. There will be a lot of activities to have like waffle ball, dunk tank, bean bag toss, and football toss through the tire. Gift prizes will be in the forum of gift cards like a $25 dollar gift card to Star Bucks, $25.00 gift prize to the Bookstore. Dates for Club Rush will be February 22 nd - 25 th. The ICC Chair took Ryan Willis ideas and put them a spread sheet. The projected cost for all supplies and equipment for the fun field carnival is $614. Noemi Bustamante mentioned that she received ASO s support and they have approved an up to budget of $500. The Chair asked the ICC Committee if they wanted to approve an up to the same amount. An event committee was formed with Ryan Willis as Chair. 4.3 Club Rush Budget SNAC Fall 2016 moved to approve an up to budget of $500 for Club Rush. Sociology club seconded. Motion Passed unanimously. Discussion: All Clubs are required by the ICC Constitution to attend the Club Rush. There will be a total of eight games. Two clubs can staff one game. There needs to be genuine interest from the students on campus for the clubs. The Chair will come and distribute tickets. If you feel that someone is truly interested in your club than hand them a raffle ticket. Make sure to let them know that there are a range of prizes from $50 to $ 20 prizes. The flyers for Club Rush are done but need approval from the ASO Public Relations officer Brenda Solis. V. REPORTS 5.1 Advisor Reports Dr. Z welcomed everyone into the New Year of 2016. Hoped everyone had a fabulous break. She wants to know if there any officer changes within all the clubs. She will be checking Club Officers GPA to make sure that all have at least a 2.0. She is looking forward to doing a variety of new things this year. If any club is interested in promoting an activity they are encouraged to use the SpotLight. Get in touch with Student Health Services. The College is moving to fiscal independence. There will be a different bank (we will no longer be using Bank of America) but it will not look any different to the students.
Nancy Blundell will be very busy because ASO and Student Club will be the first group to move to the new bank. 5.2 Chair Reports Glad to see people make the meeting. Encouraged those who are taking classes during Intercession to eat and get plenty of rest. She is excited about the Spring Semester. She has mixed emotions about this being her last semester at AVC but happy to be moving on. If anyone has any questions please don t hesitate to get in touch with the ICC Chair. She is usually good at getting back with a response in short amount of time. She wants to be a resource for the clubs on campus. 5.3 Club Reports SNAC Spring 2017 Had there Shakey s Pizza fundraiser on December 23 rd. It went well and they raised about $200. AVC Veterans Club- Will be having a meeting on January 20 th at 2:00 pm. Still plans to have their social event and anyone from other clubs are more than welcomed to stop by the Veterans Center. ICC 5 Skills USA- Has partnered up with AVC STEM Club to forum the Black Smithing committee Wyatt Moore is the lead Chair. They will be forging metal on Saturdays. The time is TBA. It will be held in Welding Shop. Members are required to take a safety test. Noemi Bustamante advised as a club, they will have to submit an ICC event approval form. VII. ANNOUNCEMENTS / UPCOMING MEETING AND EVENTS The next ICC meeting will be on January 19, 2016 3:30 pm in the ASO boardroom in SSV 180. VIII.
