Session 2016-2017 (5) Industry Institute Interaction Meet (III Meet 2017) Saturday, 12 rd APRIL 2017 Objectives of Industry-Institute Partnership Cell @ BDCE The following are the objectives which we keep in mind while organizing III Meet. 1. To bring industry closer to the academic and vice-versa 2. To develop the close links between Industry & Institute by interactions programs to gain the advantage of cross fertilization of ideas for system improvement. 3. To share the experience and expertise between institutions and industry for mutual benefit. 4. To integrate industrial training and other inputs from the industry with the teaching learning processes so as to develop in the students. Awareness about the job functions in the industry. Attitudes to adapt to industrial environment. Proper practical and relevant knowledge and skills Industry-ready manpower Internship & sabbatical training in industry Capabilities to become self-employed 5. To assist the industry in the selection of suitable candidates to fill up jobs positions through campus interviews and other selection procedures. 6. To offer research, development, consultancy and testing services to solve industrial problems. 7. To create a holistic platform at BDCE for placement drive of undergraduate and postgraduate students. 8. To organize the collaborative value-based, need-based staff development program for industrial personnel and stakeholders of academia. 9. To promote entrepreneurship in technical institution.

III Meet has been conducted in three Phases Phase I: Inauguration Industry Institute Meet has been inaugurated on 12 th April 2017.

Phase II: Key Note Address by Eminent speakers Mr. Shashikant Deshpande (Chief Guest) Managing Director, Soft Polynomial (I) Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur Talked about the Importance of Facts & Figs in employability Explained the expectations of IT Industry from fresh graduates. Emphasized the parameters to be considered for bright career. Dr. Ram Wagh (Guest of Honor) Founder Chairman,Aakar Foundation, NagpurDr. Ram Wagh Appealed students to attempt for MPSC, UPSC and other Competitive Examination Explained success mantras to crack the Civil Services Exams Emphasized the need of positive approach in life.

Mr. Adya Prasad (Guest of Honor) Ex. Director, Uttam Galva Steel ltd, Explained the required technical skills in order to meet the expectations of the Steel Industry. Discussed about the national and global prospects of steel industry Dr. M. A. Gaikwad, Principal, B. D. C. E., Sevagram III Meet 2017 (General Chair) Explained the requirement of making students more technically competent. Discussed about the need of III meet and how it is beneficial for both. Emphasized that students have to be scientifically trained to take on global challenges. Mr. Abdul Zubair explained the initiatives taken by Wardha IT Park to prepare the skilled manpower required by the Industries in the region. Prof. Anand Manjarkhede delivered the Vote of thanks of the inaugural function.

Phase III: Panel Discussion In this Session of the Meet a panel discussion was conducted in which eminent Resource Pool from Industry, Institute, TPOs participated as panelists. The distinguished speakers participating in panel discussion were: Dr. Rajendra S. Ltd., Nagpur

The panel discussion was followed Q&A Session from the students who came from various colleges in and around vidharbha and proved to be very beneficial for budding engineers. The eminent personalities encouraged this effort of college as III meet is the need of hour as being the only platform to showcase the best and latest practices of industries. The summit was concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Abhay Bagade, Coordinator. Prof. Vijay N. Kalbande, Convener, Coordinators, Prof. Abhay Bagade, Prof. S.D. Zilpe, Organizing Secretary Prof. A. R. Dandekar, Treasurer Prof. S. I. Ghangale, Dr Dilip Singh rapporter of the programme along with all the Committee Members and Teaching and Non- Teaching employees of the College worked hard for the success of III Meet 2017.
