Purpose of the role : To provide a high quality, efficient and effective physiotherapy service for Patients/Clients/Caregivers/families, whanau in designated clinics and classes for a wider range of presentations within an outpatient department To undertake accurate assessment, and implement treatment and educational programmes in accordance with best practice and standards for outpatients physiotherapy To be proactive and up to date with current literature and evidence-based therapy approaches. To provide day-to-day management of the Outpatient team, liaising with TL, PCL and the wider team To provide leadership within the Allied Health Team by demonstrating advanced knowledge and clinical practice in physiotherapy, To supervise and be a positive role model for junior and middle level staff. To provide high quality clinical practice for undergraduate physiotherapy students as required Services are delivered in accordance with WDHB and Med HOP Strategic Waitemata District Health Board -JOB DESCRIPTION - Page 2

POSITION TITLE: PERSON SPECIFICATION Senior Outpatient Physiotherapist Qualification Minimum New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist Current Annual Practicing Certificate Preferred Post-graduate physiotherapy qualification Experience Four (plus) years post-graduate experience, at least two years in an Outpatient setting Experience working with clients with a wide range of health and disability needs in the areas of Medicine, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal.
