Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire Application Form Guidance Notes Funding aims The aim of the bursary scheme is to assist with increasing capacity within clubs and provide an increase in the amount of coaching especially for those aged 16+. Priority will be given to clubs that have achieved Clubmark or clubs that will be able to achieve Clubmark by receiving this funding. The funding is only available to support coaches wishing to gain Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications. Who can apply? Any individual who wants to gain a sports coaching qualification and working with a local club, is eligible to apply. Applicants must be resident in Herefordshire & Worcestershire and will be using their qualification within the two counties. Grants cannot be awarded retrospectively. Therefore we ask that courses that individuals wish to attend commence after the assessment date that your application is being submitted to. How are applications assessed? Each application will be assessed on an individual basis by the Sports Partnership s Workforce Sub Group. Applications will be assessed against the aims of the funding as outlined above. You will be notified within two weeks after the assessment date as to whether or not you have been successful. Payment Payment can only be paid to a club and not to an individual. The clubs must be a constituted body and have a bank account in the clubs name. Payment will be made on completion of the course. If the Sports Partnership approves your application, you must send to us a copy of your course certificate, or if this is not possible please have an NGB representative contact us to confirm attendance and successful completion, within six weeks of completing the course. Without this we are not obliged to pay the grant. If you are having problems meeting this deadline please call the Club and Volunteer Development Manager as soon as you can to discuss this.
