Local Girl Scouts Donate Clothes to LAVC s Baby Clothes Exchange Program Five Junior Girl Scouts of Troop 1000 of the San Fernando Valley recently completed their community service project with a presentation of baby clothes to Marni Roosevelt, Project Director of the LAVC Family Resource Center. The donated items are intended to support the Family Resource Center's baby clothing exchange open to the community for newborns to size 3. The Girl Scouts held a flag ceremony and delivered a speech to announce their significant donation of gently used baby clothing. In the speech, the Girl Scouts stated, "we hope this donation will help families in need and assist the Family Resource Center to serve students and the community." The event marked the final activity in earning the Girl Scout Bronze Award, an honored recognition that a Junior Girl Scout has earned in applying leadership and planning skills needed to follow through a project that makes a positive difference in the local community.
