Purpose of the role : Provide a high standard of clinical practice in the management and delivery of ORLHNS care both in physical and virtual situations. The medical practitioner is required to undertake their clinical responsibilities and to conduct themselves in all matters relating to their employment in accordance with best practice and relevant ethical and professional standards and guidelines (online and offline) as determined from time to time by: Waitemata DHB s policies and procedures to the extent that they may ne inconsistent with any other provision of this agreement. The Medical Council of New Zealand The NZMA code of ethics RACS and NZSOHNS HDC KEY TASKS Delivery of clinical and virtual care to patients requiring ORLHNS services Clinical schedule EXPECTED OUTCOMES Takes professional care and undertakes delegated responsibilities for patients Conducts clinics including virtual clinics using the allocated time efficiently and effectively as per agreed contract. Works with Primary Care Advisor to establish a GPwSI programme and explore other ways to achieve sustainable demand management for ORLHNS service Works with relevant staff to engage patients and GPs online for initial management of referrals Oversees RMO and GPwSI activity to ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with standards and policy. Obtains informed consent for all patients in accordance with Waitemata DHB s policy for undertaking any operation, test or procedure.
