Tap & Ballet Combo Warm-ups and instructional steps are combined with age appropriate songs and steps to help provide fundamental skills. Children are introduced to basic tap and ballet technique. This is a positive, structured, independent, dance experience to establish or continue a solid base of dance knowledge. A leotard, black tap shoes, and pink ballet shoes are required. These classes are ongoing through American Stars of Dance and will perform in our Holiday & Spring Recital. If you are interested in performing, your child will need to attend additional classes not listed below. There are additional fees. This 45 minute class includes play acting with props, parachute games, obstacle courses, creative movement, stretching, some tumbling and basic dance steps. This class offers your child a structured play experience away from home with other children of the same age. Parents will need to participate with their child. This 45-minute class will gradually introduce your toddler to a more independent dance class. Basic dance steps and coordination are some of the skills that will be introduced. Adaptive dance for special needs kids Adaptive Dance is a 6-week combo class introducing the basics of ballet and creative movement designed for kids ages 4 & up with special needs. Tap may be added depending on the ability of the students. This class is designed to give every child the opportunity to dance and have fun. Hip-Hop 1 An exciting class for anyone wanting to learn this popular form of dance. Warm-ups and instructional steps are combined with appropriate pop/hip-hop music to help provide fundamental skills. Dance sneakers or jazz shoes, and dancewear is required. No street shoes please. These classes are ongoing through American Stars of Dance and will perform in our Holiday & Spring Recital.
