General Conference Information Join fellow IV nurses for LITEVAN s 44th Annual Educational Conference! This year s conference will feature great speakers, opportunities to learn about the latest and greatest products and services in IV and venous access treatment, and the ability to network with fellow infusion therapy professionals. LITEVAN 2016 will also feature its Poster Area. Don t miss the chance to discover new ideas and strategies to expand your knowledge and grow as a nurse! Accreditation This activity has been submitted to the Association for Vascular Access for approval to award contact hours. The Association for Vascular Access is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Even if you live outside the state of California, you can still attain contact hours. Registration Information New this year, all conference registrations will be completed online. Opening Reception This year s Opening Reception will take place on Thursday, April 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall. Distinguish between hospice and palliative care, including differences and similarities between the two concepts. 2. Describe how patient care can be improved through hospice, palliative care, and the attendees increased knowledge of the two concepts. 3. Discuss changes in standards, guidelines and healthcare landscape that impact clinical practice. 2. The system allows you to register quickly and easily, and you can choose to pay via credit card securely through the site or to be invoiced and send a check. If you are a member of LITEVAN, log into the website and the discounted rates will be provided on the conference page. If you do not know your password, visit www.lite.org and click Login at the top. Choose the Forgot Password option and follow the steps to reset your password. You must log into the website to receive the member pricing. Group Registrations New this year, you can enter group registrations together and pay for them all at once. On the conference registration, choose the Group Discount option. Complete the registration information for the first person, and at the bottom of the page, click Add Guest under the Guest List header. Complete the information for the second registrant and click Done. This will bring you back to the page with the initial person s registration. You can continue to add registrants by following the same steps. Once you ve entered information for all registrants, click Next to continue and complete the registration process. Registration Cancellations and Substitutions Cancellations made PRIOR TO March 4, 2016, will be refunded the registration fee minus a $75 processing fee. Cancellation notices are not official unless made in writing and must be confirmed by the LITEVAN Office. There will not be a refund provided for cancellations made AFTER March 4, 2016, or for no-shows. Registration substitutions will be permitted only if received on or before April 1, 2016. LITEVAN s Poster Area Posters are a great way to exchange ideas and share your achievements. Poster presentations should be of a completed or in-progress IV nursing innovative approach, special project, etc. They are a great way to present your projects and research to fellow IV nurses.
