HISTORY / SIGNIFICANT MILESTONES 1992: The Clinix Health Group (Clinix) was founded in 1992 by Dr KOP Matseke. 1994: Clinix Botshelong Empilweni private hospital in Vosloorus was opened. 1995: Clinix Tshepo-Themba Private Hospital in Soweto was opened. 1997: Clinix Naledi-Nkanyezi Private Hospital in Sebokeng was opened.
2003: First PPP with The Dept of Health in Gauteng. Acquisition of Selby Park Hospital (Pty) Ltd. 2004: Occupational Healthcare Division established - presently provides onsite Occupational Health services to the Foskor Mining Company in Phalaborwa, Richards Bay and City Parks Division of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Council. Awarded a tender to manage the 93-bed Victoria Private Hospital in Mafikeng, North-West Province in December 2003. Finalised management contract for Lesedi Private Hospital, Soweto
Selby Park Step Down Model: Clinix in partnership with the Gauteng Provincial government (PPP) Selby Park provides 500 step-down beds to accommodate the overflow of patients from the following hospitals: 1. Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, 2. Charlotte Maxeke Academic General Hospital 3. Helen Joseph Hospital 4. Hillbrow Community Health Clinic 5. Edenvale Hospital 6. Far East Rand Hospital
2010: Acquisition of 30% shareholding in Digidata (Pty) Ltd, a company specialising in the development of Healthcare management operating systems. The Clinix Health Group Ltd (60%) together with the Phalaborwa Health Group (Pty) (40%) Ltd have formed the Clinix Phalaborwa Private Hospital. The Clinix Health Group entered into negotiations with Cullinan Health Services to purchase the shares in Hospital Street Developments (100%) and Cullinan Health Services (70%).
