Specialization Every year 50-70 officers are selected on merit for super-specialization and given upto three years full pay leave to train in premier institutions in India and abroad Ex-SSC Officers (after leaving the forces) are given opportunity to join PG courses or superspeciality courses in service institutions for up to three years without additional bond liability
Career Prospects All medical cadets execute a bond for Service Liability which is to cover the free cost of training including messing lodging and allowances After completion of MBBS the cadets are commissioned in the Army, Navy & Air Force as Medical Officer-CLASS I Gazetted Officers Two types of commission is granted: Permanent Commission Short Service Commission
