Trauma crdinatrs will be riented t trauma criteria, the self-assessment categrizatin applicatin, and supprting dcumentatin needed fr trauma re-verificatin. Participants will learn what partners shuld be engaged in the trauma prgram and hw thse partners participate in the trauma re-verificatin visit. Cmmn criteria issues and best practices will be discussed. I. Identify and lcate trauma criteria specific t a hspital s categrizatin level. This sessin will discuss the cmpnents and resurces fr implementing mass care. I. The sessin will begin with an verview f the findings frm reginal meetings held by BETS in the summer f 2015, as well as a high level verview f the varius prgrammatic effrts t imprve EMS, Trauma, Public Health, and Hspital capabilities. The sessin will g n t prvide infrmatin n data that IDPH has been assessing that will influence future grant structures t supprt lcal system develpment effrts. Finally, a draft cncept f hw future funding will be structured and cntracted fr ur lcal partners (beginning with State Fiscal Year 2018) will be presented. The sessin will allw fr apprximately 90 120 minutes fr discussin, questins, and feedback. I. Describe the effrts by IDPH/BETS t assess and analyze the varius systems that supprt time critical cnditins. Describe prgram level effrts t imprve the systems f EMS, Trauma, public health preparedness, and hspital preparedness. Identify the prpsed grant funding structure fr state fiscal year 2018.
