September 2, 2008-Robbery-4:14pm-Gilman/Jennings-CN#080928955: Officer Hennessey and Paul responded to the 100 blk of Cameron Way regarding a possible robbery w/force incident. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that while walking home from school, the suspect approached him and asked to use his phone. The victim told the suspect that his phone was not charged. The suspect became angry and pushed the victim into a parked car, pushed the victim s head down and took his cell phone and MP3 Player. The victim left and returned with his father, who was able to get the phone back from the suspect. The victim and his father returned home and called police, who were at the time, responding to another robbery involving the same suspect. The suspect was positively identified. Officers cited the suspect and transported him to a juvenile facility where he was placed into the custody of his probation officer. September 3, 2008-Robbery-6:01pm-Jennings/Gilman-CN#080929301: Officer Tam and Training Officer Borgen responded to Jennings and Gilman regarding a robbery. Officers met with the victim who stated that he had been robbed by two suspects. The victim told Officers that he was walking down the street when the two suspects approached him and asked to use his cell phone. The victim told the suspects he did not have a phone. The larger of the two suspects took the victim by the neck, slammed him against the wall, punched him in the face, and took his backpack. The victim fled and called the police. Officers responded to the scene and located one of the suspects. The juvenile suspect was diverted to a juvenile facility and charged with robbery. September 2, 2008-Aggravated Assault on Police Officer, Warrant Arrest-9:17am-1000 blk of Key st- CN#080927189: Officer Saw and Catlett were on patrol when they saw a green Cadillac with a broken tail lamp in front of them. Officers recognized the driver from prior arrests. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the suspect pulled abruptly away from the curb and sped off. A short distance later, the suspect stopped the vehicle abruptly, jumped out of the car and fled from the scene. Officers detained the suspect, who physically fought with officers for several minutes before they were able to place him into custody. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked for assault on a police officer as well as an outstanding warrant that he had. The officers were not seriously injured. September 2. 2008-Terrorist Threats, Battery-7:40pm-1700 blk of McKinnon-CN#080929806: Officers Hunt and Ochoa responded to an incident involving a fight with a knife. Officers spoke with the victim who told them that her father had hit her and threatened to kill her. The victim told Officer Graves that he was on the Muni bus when two unknown suspects got on the bus and had a confrontation with another unknown subject. The two suspects then turned their attention toward the victim and shouted gang words at him. The victim told the suspects that he had no gang affiliation. One of the suspects then hit him in the face with a beer can. The other suspect took a beer bottle and began to hit him in the face as well. A medic responded to the scene and treated the victim. Officers located the suspects and the victim positively identified them. Officers placed the suspects under arrest and called for a Gang Task Force officer to respond and take over the investigation. September 4, 2008-Aggravated Assault- 01:45am-1600 blk of Shafter-CN#080934651: Officer Borghesani, Officer Guzman and Officer Alvarenga responded to an assault. Officers spoke with a victim, who had sustained a head injury when a known suspect had hit her with a crowbar. Officers located the suspect and the crowbar and placed the suspect under arrest. The victim was transported to SFGH, where she received treatment and identified the suspect as the one who hit her with a crowbar. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the County Jail. September 3, 2008-Warrant Arrest-9:38am-1000 blk of Fitzgerald-CN#080931271: Members of the housing team responded to Fitzgerald Ave regarding a missing juvenile. Officers located the juvenile and placed him into custody. The juvenile s probation officer was contacted and told officers that the juvenile was on probation and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. September 3, 2008-Firearm, Loaded in Vehicle, Parole Violation-4:57pm-Silver/Revere-CN#080868533: Members of Bayview s plainclothes team received information that a vehicle, recently seen in the Bayview, may have been used in a series of robberies. Officers located the vehicle and detained the driver. Officer Hennessey 7
searched the driver, who was a female, and found a loaded firearm in her bra. Officers placed her under arrest and contacted the Robbery Inspector in charge of the case, who also took over the investigation. INCIDENTS OF INTEREST: September 4, 2008-Aggravated Assault w/knife-suspicious Acts Towards Female-1:15am- Evans/Mendell-CN#080934548: Officer Fong and Borghesani responded to Evans St regarding a person with a knife. Officers met with the victim who told them that an unknown suspect had pulled a knife on her when she got a ride from him. The victim told officers that the suspect had held a box cutter to her face and told her that they were going to do this his way. The victim, in fear, began to struggle with the suspect and then jumped out of the vehicle. The victim was not harmed in any way. Officer Fong advised other units of the description of the suspect. Offices searched the area, to no avail. September 4, 2008-Robbery, Residence w/force, Aggravated Assault w/force-12:00pm, 4000 blk of 3rd st-cn#080934645: Officer Bush and Training Officer Lane responded to the 4000 blk of 3rd St regarding an assault. Officers met with the victim who stated that she got into a verbal argument with her brother regarding a car. The brother pushed the victim, choked her, took the keys from her and took off in her car. The victim was treated and released at the scene by medics. Officers searched for the vehicle at another location, to no avail. September 3, 2008-Carjacking w/dangerous Weapon-5:00pm-Brussels/Mansell-CN#080933045: Officers Burkhart and Pheng were dispatched to Bayshore/Oakdale regarding a carjacking. Officers spoke with the victim who told them that he was driving his mother s car and had stopped for a pedestrian when two unknown suspects jumped in the vehicle. One of the suspects was armed with a shotgun. The suspects struck the victim on the right side of the face and demanded his keys and all of his money. The victim complied and the suspects drove away in the vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects. The victim was not seriously injured during the incident. September 3, 2008-Robbery, Street w/force-kidnapping-11:55 pm-lasalle/newcomb-cn#080931641: Officers Saw and Wise responded to LaSalle and Newcomb regarding a strong armed robbery. Officers spoke with the victim who told officers that she was on the MUNI bus when two unknown suspects walked past her seat, and one of the suspects grabbed her cell phone out of her hand. The victim struggled to get the cell phone back, which enraged the suspect. The suspect punched the victim in the face and forced her off the bus. The suspect continued to strike and kick the victim on the sidewalk. The victim was able to break free and ran back onto the bus.
