Sligo University Hospital EOLC Committee established 2007 CNM3 EOLC Coordinator in place since Jan 2015 Sligo Hospital participated in the End-of-Life Care National Audit in 2008/9 and Audit & Review Project 2012/13.Involved all staff who cared for patients. Also involved a bereaved relatives survey.
Final Journeys training programme well established but continuing to strive to increase staff participation EOLC hope to address deficits noted in medical education / training relating to death notification/post mortems/cremations. Design & Dignity Projects IHF funding for refurbishment of Mortuary.

Letterkenny University Hospital EOLC Committee established 2007 HFH Quality Standards incorporated into all clinical care programmes End-Of-Life Care Development Coordinator 2007-2012. Participated in 2008/9 National Audit of End-of- Life Care
Final Journeys coordinated through CNME Group - keen participation from Letterkenny Hospital staff and staff from 11 Community Hospitals. - Alt Na Gelvin Hospital, Derry, adopted Final Journeys Breaking Bad News workshops facilitated for Medical and nursing staff.
