MSNN Cares is a volunteer based program aimed at helping special needs military families receive basic help during times of deployment, illness, or emergencies. Organization Date(s) & Times POC Contact Information Notes Heritage Park Village Terry Ann Larson 951-239-2355. Strong Marine Volunteers Needed at Heritage Park Village Museum. Heritage Park Village Museum is nearly finished renovating the historic buildings that offer visitors the opportunity to step back in time & glimpse Oceanside at its incorporation in 1888. Marines were among the volunteers that worked to bring this Park into existence during our country s bicentennial celebration in 1976. The Park is made up of representative & historic buildings; including the original Oceanside Jail formerly used for its holding cells by the Camp Pendleton military police. The museum furnishings & artifacts were removed from many of the buildings & put into storage to enable renovations & remodeling. Now that they have completed some of this work, they need to return the furnishings to the buildings. They are in need of 4-6 strong Marines to lift & move some large & heavy glass display cases from storage in the Livery Stable to their respective buildings onsite. Habitat for Humanity Riverside Mr. Luis Munoz 951-787-6754 ext.118 Habitat for Humanity Riverside is looking to build homes for veterans in the city of Jurupa Valley. In partnership with California Department of Veteran Affairs, Habitat for Humanity Riverside will build 26 new, Energy STAR rated efficient single-family residents dedicated to veterans & families of the fallen.

Organization Date(s) & Times POC Contact Information Notes St.Vincent De Paul Thrift Store Nancy McSheehy 619-894-7275 jimmcsheehy@yahoo.com. Marines are needed to assist the St. Vincent De Paul Thrift Store in Fallbrook with pickup of donations & delivery of sold furniture. As of this time they are going to have to experiment a little with this program to be sure that it is worth the while for the Marines to volunteer. At times they may not have enough to pickup/delivery & would not need help when that happens. However, they really want to give this a try so here is the plan. Given time constraints this may not be possible for most, but if you are available please sign up for this wonderful volunteer opportunity. 15 families were assisted by this store for Christmas this past year! - They will need two Marines each day on Tuesday & Wednesday for pickup/delivery. - The Marines will work with one of their volunteer truck drivers who know the area. - Their area of operations is Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow & De Luz. - The hours will be 1200 to 1500 on Tuesday & 1000 to 1500 on Wednesday.
